I just bought an istick Pico yesterday for an healthier alternative to smoking and after everytime I hit it I feel a shortness of breath/hard time breathing and have to sometimes use my inhaler. I don't normally feel this way after smoking regular cigarettes so I'm just confused and want to know what could be wrong??

I agree with the above. Would be more helpful for us to help you to know more about your e-liquid (nic strength) and gear setup (sub-ohm coils?) and your settings (wattage used).

I'm assuming you have asthma or COPD since you're using an inhaler. Changing from smoking to vaping may irritate your lungs just because it is "different".

Many new vapers complain of coughing when first starting to vape. They fail to recall when they first began to smoke they probably coughed a lot. They eventually got used to the smoke and didn't cough so much ... until their smoking compromised their lungs and they got chronic diseases like asthma, chronic bronchitis, or COPD.

Inhaling warm vapor is new to your body, and its reacting to it like when you first began smoking. I imagine your body will eventually adjust to vaping. However, since I'm not a physician, you should monitor your new symptoms and if need be consult your physician if they worsen.

You may want to adjust your vaping technique. Vaping requires a slightly different technique than smoking.

Well ......I know this is bad but I honestly don't know tbh I'm not even 100% sure how to even use this thinf I've googled it but I just don't understand.. :/
Where or how did you purchase your setup. Vape shop or online?

You need to find out what tank you are using. Regular or subohm tank? What coils does it use (ohm rating)?

If it is a sub-ohm tank, like I'm guessing, it will make a warmer vape than a standard non-sub-ohm tank. If true, you may need to purchase a non-sub-ohm tank for a cooler vape. Something like an Aspire Nautilus that uses higher ohm coils (1.6 or 1.8 ohm).

I know this appears to be more complicated than you were expecting, but once you understand the terminology it really isn't. You're just learning about something new that you weren't familiar with before.

I suggest that you return to the vape store and learn exactly what they sold you.

Tell them you have asthma, and the vape setup they sold you is aggraviting your asthma.

Ask them if a non-sub-ohm tank would be more agreeable for you, if a sub-ohm tank is what they sold you.

You come here to an internet forum looking for advice. There are most likely no physicians here and, if there were, they would not likely dispense medical advice on here. Since you have an inhaler you probably have a physician treating you for your asthma. Why don't you go see your physician rather than seeking the advice of people who may stay at a Holiday Inn but have little to no medical expertise?

as already stated, you should try something with less vg imo. I have asthma diagnosed 30+ years ago and when I vaped over 70vg juice I had asthma symptoms. If I stick with 70vg or lower I never need to reach for my inhaler. I have seen others, like above, say they couldn't go above 50vg or even less.

The max vg is what is causing the heaviness in your chest. Try a juice with a 50 pg/50vg ratio. That should help you quite a bit. Did you get the juice at the same store where you bought your gear? If so, see if they will swap it out.

Have you ever heard or seen a vendor swap out a juice once it has been opened and used? That would be EXTREMELY unlikely.

You are right but it never hurts to try and you never know unless you ask. Hey stranger things have happened.

You know they really should rethink that policy. I mean, we know they will just throw it away and not try to resell it, BUT for pennies on the dollar they could be gaining a long time customer who keeps coming back and continuing to purchase for future use.......sounds to me like more of a winner than being a complete jack ... about it.
