GA by way of WV
Mechanicals do not regulate voltage. You get the voltage that the particular battery or batteries deliver. Basically you get either 3.7 volt or 6.0 volt. (there may be other battery configurations I am not aware of) As the battery drains, the power delivered decreases because there is no regulation. This is called "battery drain".

VV and VW provides "regulated" power, maintaining the power level you set regardless of the battery draining. And of course you can set the power level you prefer regardless of the battery.

VW also senses the resistence of the atty/carto you are using and automatically adjusts the power to maintain your original power setting even as the resistence of the atty/carto changes due to use or because you switched to a different resistence atty/carto. VV does not have this feature.

There are some other differences, but this is the basics.

A true mechanical mod has no wires or circuity. The positive end of the battery touches the 510 connection. You press the button which in turn touches the negative end of the battery and completes the circuit. That's how the most basic mechanical works anyway. There are others with different designs, but this is just a generalization to give you the idea. A Silver bullet and most box box are not true mechs because they have wiring.

does this make mechanical mods inferior to say, something like a vamo?
i don't understand why people here praise mechanical mods.

depends on what you're looking for i prefer mech over anything i get way more performance from my EA than my vamo aslo theres no protection so i can use sub ohms on a mech which a vv/vw device won't work with.

If you get a good one then they will last forever. There really isn't much that can break or go wrong with them. For the most part they are made of a metal tube and screws. If something does go wrong with one then a quick trip to home depot will likely fix the problem. If you like a regulate vape then you can get a kick (a drop in module that regulates many mechanical tube mods from 5 to 10 watts). Most people on the forums like to use them with BRA's. You can stick a RBA with a .5 ohm coil on it. If you try to do that on a Vamo or any other regulated device you will get an error and it will not fire.

Ummmmm... The mech mods are great if you are a tweaker, I would say a hard core tweaker. Myself? Not so much, being a mid tweak kinda gal, I stick to the occasional rebuildable. Mainly I stick to my provari and itaste svd as some tanks taste better to me on vv or vw. Again I say, vaping is a highly personal experience.

Tho I must say some of those hybrids make me tingle.

Doesnt vaping on that low ohm give a really burnt taste after half a sec?

Not necessarily. Some juces do give off a burned taste, but some don't. The flavor is quite intence as is the rest of the vaping experience.

I don't use RBA's because I don't like to fiddle with stuff, but I still like my unregulated mods better than most of my VV mods. I just like the form factor and the over all look of them. I know they aren't true mechs (they both have wiring in the button), but I like to use my BAM and Bombshell Stinger with a Kick.
