RjG - The micro chargers actually have a flaw in that they don't ever register the battery as full. I have disassembled one of these and corrected the problem.

I am actually in the process of designing a charger that will work on standard 110AC (here in the US) and a USB charger that will light the LED solid when it is charged.

The new Micro charger is more than a simple USB Pass Through charger - there are several electronic components inside that seem to be for power filtering - to ensure the power going to the battery is clean. I've ordered some replacement parts. I'm going to try and match the voltage and power handling using fewer components. Based on the present design though, the problem is not that the usb port is turning itself off due to no current draw - the micro charger draws current even without a battery plugged into it. I should have more info before this week is up. I'll keep you posted on what I manage to do.

" it is made entirely in the United Kingdom, so there is no question about unsavory chemicals or dangerous materials from China."

I would have to agree. That should be removed or corrected.

I am very interested in the progress of your work on the micro chargers. It would be great to finally see a correctly operating charger, with functioning indication. Thank you.

chewy...and others --

i've been able to get a "charged" LED twice now, once on an EVO and once on a Pilot battery, with the micro USB plugged into a wall plug adapter and a DEAD battery. doesn't seem to work if the battery has any charge left, i've only gotten the LED after the batteries have blinked at me telling me they're dying.

not sure if that helps anyone.

I modified the FAQ - I thought at one point Intellicig said that everything was manufactured in the UK... Upon further review - ASSEMBLED in the UK... Big difference. Thanks for pointing that out - don't want to be the purveyor of false advertisement...
