lol that would be kinda cool. Hate to say that I'm a reasonable guy and if that is the case, that I received the package and was refunded, I would contact DS and send them their money. Some may not agree but I believe in karma.

I agree, that would be the right thing to do. I have my doubts that you'll ever see that package though.

USPS is still treating mine to a tour of the Eastern US. So far it's gotten to see New Jersey, then Georgia, and now Pennsylvania.

My package arrived from DS.

"Package", not "kayfun Lite". The package was empty.

 doesn't begin to describe...

I've notified them, and suggested that if they expect more stock soon and are willing to ship Express I would accept a replacement - otherwise I expect a refund.

Digital Steam escalated my dispute with Paypal (???), and provided Paypal with "an explanation describing their disagreement with this claim".

So basically its in Paypal's hands to decide if I should get a refund or not. I don't see how Paypal could decide that I shouldn't, but nothing would surprise me at this point.

Yep. From what I can tell from google translate, they say that I'm not entitled to a refund because (here's where the translation gets fuzzy) either the post office accepted the package or because I accepted the package, and something about insurance.

Whether the post office accepted the package is irrelevant. I didn't have an opportunity to decline the package since it was sent without requiring a signature. Insuring is up to the sender (as would be making an insurance claim), nor was insurance a shipping option at checkout, so insurance is irrelevant as well.

Digital Steam obviously isn't concerned about customer service or retention. Otherwise they would accept their responsibility and make good. Instead they use the cheapest packaging and shipping method possible, then blame their customer.

Again, live and learn. I've learned not to do business with them.

Update sort of:

Andre finally contacted me and asked me to check my Paypal. I did, nothing. No refund or message via the Resolution Center. So I again sent them a message via their site, Facebook PM, Facebook main page, and emailed Andre back. Knowing them I will probably not get a response for another week or two.

I'm glad things worked out for you.

I'm beginning to doubt I'm going to have the same outcome. Paypal just sent me, "In order to continue with this investigation, a report must be filed with a law enforcement agency or government organization..."

Really? I'm not alleging that a crime was committed, so what exactly am I supposed to report?
