Diluting base, need help with math

Hey guys.

I'm not sure if I'm too sleepy or was missed few hours from math, but I just can't figure this out.


I have 100ml of 50/50 base (0mg) and I need to dilute it for 70VG/30PG. How much VG I need to add?

And how the hell can I count it next time, so I don't have to bother you, guys?

If you add 66.65 ml of 100% VG to a 50/50 base mix, you'll get your 30/70 preferred base (166.65 ml total at this point).

I just used the Combine Nicotine Levels Tool in the ejuice Me Up app for Windows (www.ejuice.breaktru.com). Play around with the amounts, and you'll get where you want.

Ed_c: I have no idea how could I count this. I was always bad in math

When I add 100ml of VG to 50PG/50VG (50+50ml) I get 50PG/150VG. Which is same as 25PG/75VG, right?
So that 5 cannot be 36ml.

What is 36ml? He's adding 66.67ml of VG
70/30=2.33 and (66.67+50=116.67)/50=2.33 (rounded to the hundredths)

It's the same ratio.

Your calculations are correct for the amount you state. So of the total (200), 50/200 = 25, and 150/200 = 75, IOW 25/75 (always lead with PG).

You wanted 30/70, so of the total (166.65) 50/166.65 = 30, and 116.65/166.65 = 70. So yes, the 33.35ml short of 100ml makes a difference.

Honestly though, I've never experienced any difference between 25/70 and 30/70, so if it were me, I'd just combine the two and call it a day. YMMV.

Just add 66ml of VG to your 100ml of 50/50 and you're good. But like sonicdsl said, if you were to dump in 100ml, you're not likely to notice any difference.
