I'm going to take my first shot at DIY this weekend. I think I have all the supplies I need now but I have a question about diluting the nicotine that I purchased. I have done a fair amount of reading about the DIY process here on the forums but there is SO MUCH information and it's all kind of just running together at this point.

I purchased a 120ml bottle of 100mg/ml Nicotine in a PG base. My plan is to split the 120ml of nicotine among 4 other 120ml bottles that I purchased and then top those bottles off with PG/VG. Am I correct in thinking that I will end up with 4 120ml bottles of 30 mg/ml Nicotine at that point?

My ultimate goal is to make juice with an approximate mix of 50/50 (PG/VG) after adding all ingredients. If I were shooting for a 60/40 VG/PG mix on the nicotine base, I'm calculating that I can reach that by using 30ml of the nicotine (PG), 18 ml of PG, and 72 ml of VG. Am I correct in my thinking?

Sorry for the newbie questions. I think I'm correct in my assumptions above but would love to get some feedback from the more experienced.

Well, yes.(25mg) per bottle, but if you want to end up with that 60/40 vg/pg mix in your final ejuice then no.
You are not taking into acct the flavoring you may want to add or reducing it further down to a more vape-able ejuice.
Is 25mg where you want your final ejuice to end up?
Need more info from what you are expected to accomplish to end up with a vape-able ejuice.

You're right - I should have provided a little more info.

I'll be using a calculator to determine amounts for the final product, probably at 12mg. I was really just talking about getting the 60/40 mix in the nicotine base itself. From that base, I understand that I'll be adding flavorings, additional PG/VG to reach my intended finished product.

I think I may be overthinking things - I think it would probably be much easier to just dilute the nicotine using a 50/50 ratio and then just making the final adjustments when I mix all the ingredients together at the end.

Nevermind. Made an oops in the first step.

If you use a PC, I like the eJuiceMeUp calculator.

It's got built-in recipes, you can "save as" each of your attempts, etc...

Thanks for the feedback! I did see your original reply ( I made the same mistake in that first step) but I appreciate you pointing out that I calculated the second step correctly. I'll definitely be using a calculator but I also wanted to make sure I was calculating things correctly. Like to just be able to double-check in my head.

That is what I would do. Much easier that way. Remember to count the flavoring as pg when determining how much of a vg/pg ratio you want.

I dilute my nic to 30mg with PG. Since I like to make small bottles (15ml) of 3 mg, I find the PG is a lot easier to handle accurately in small amounts.

It also gives me 10%PG. Depending on how much flavoring I use, it puts me right at 80-90% VG, which is what I prefer, so I don't have to worry about having PG handy when mixing.

BOOM!
