If I have a too strong juice and dilute it, do I need to steep it again?

My idea: if recommendation for some flavoring is 2-4% and I prepare 5% and steep it, then I can dilute it (and find a sweet point) without additional steeping.

Generally NO steeping is required for already steeped juice if your diluting. Or at most 1 or 2 days if the juice is heavly diluted or normally requires a long steep of 4 or more weeks.

Thanks, Danny. Very helpful info for lazy (impatient) DIYer.
Now I can ignore recommendations "start with 2% (steep) and add if needed (steep)" when testing flavors.
I can go "start with 5% (steep) and dilute as needed (no steeping)".

When a juice is already steeped and you add more flavoring or dilute it. Generally that falls under the seed steeping rule. You can read about seed steeping in my steeping blog.

When it is said "Add,Steep,Add" regarding an already steeped juice. Usually no more then a day or 2 additional steeping is nessessary.
