Recomended by who?

Do a search on steeping, Ultrasonic steep etc... You will see it mentioned many times.

I also here a coldron and fire pit will work well also:). But don't believe everything you hear. Searching works well if in doubt.

Thoughts on microwave steeping?

I know I had 5 50ml bottles from Azure...had a really bad chemically taste...the fruit punch was good...however after taste of licking a freshly vulcanized tire sucked!

I popped in the microwave, nuked it for 15 seconds, felt bottles, they were warm so hit it again for 10, they were "hot water soaking bath" temperature to touch...popped lids put finger over top shook em for 15 seconds a piece until the juice was full of air bubbles. Let sit on shelf way out of reach of kids for several hours until juice cooled, burped bottles (squeezed until juice goes to spout then stop and let it suck fresh air in 3x, put back on cap and shook again, put in box in cabinet....repeated for 3x days...

After that...all 6 bottles were absolutely perfect...no more bad aftertaste and the flavors were smooth

Not sure if BPA seeping can occur though...but anything in plastic can have BPA seeping

Thoughts?

I contend that time and inattention are the easiest, and cheapest, steeping aids. Most of what I mix is ready in less than a week. I don't heat, burp, leaves caps off, set a timer, or shake daily. I mix it, shake the heck out of it, put the dripper cap and childproof lid on it, and put it away until the next weekend. I have enough mls already mixed up that I can afford to do that. Anticipation. . .

I usually fill a pot with hot water (just from the tap) and put my juices in a pastiche baggie and let them sit. After about 5-10 minutes I take them out and give them a hard, long shake. I do this three days in a row and seems to work excellently!
The Chai Tea that I order from Mister E-Liquid usually takes 2 weeks to steep, but doing this it will be done in 5.

That is a common method of heat steeping and is known to work well for most mixes to get them to a vapable point. It is certainly the way to go for those on a budget and do not want to invest in a UC .The squeezing of all the air out of the bottles is interesting and something I've never herd before. Hoosier has mentioned in his blogs that chemical taste could be a sign of over flavoring so I would keep that in mind.

I never fill a fresh batch bottle more than 2/3 full so there is plenty of air space for squeezing (burping) and also I routinely lay steeping juice bottles on thier side so more juice surface is exposed to the air. Only time I fill a bottle 85% or so is when adding fresh juice to steeped juice , commonly known as seed steeping and then I use approx. 1/3 steeped ,2/3 fresh ratio.

I use glass bottles for making my juice. Put all ingredients in, seal, and put down in a pan of hot water in the stove. Put the heat on low and let it sit like that for about five hours. I do give it a shake every now and again. I look at it like cooking a good stew. Slow and low for a good while.
