Diminished flavour after six weeks. Is this normal?

Don't do it. You will remember the flavour for the rest of your life. And it's not a good memory. Trust me. :glare:

My morbid curiosity got the better of me one day......

Bacon! Yes! I must try Bacon! Tell us about procuring said BaconVape.

Anyone else try anything to bring the flavour back to your vape? So far we have; switching flavours, switching hardware, vaping something you don't really enjoy for a week, and brushing your teeth with much vigor and vaping on menthol for a day. Not necessarily in that order.

Flavors only last me a couple of days and they become tasteless with only a hint of the flavor if any at all. I like to vape 2-3 different flavors at a time. I usually switch to the next flavor at the time of refill. The mint flavors will last the longest for me.

Every night I usually have 2-3 beers and find it helps with my flavors. The beer keeps my taste buds alive. At least thats what I want to believe.:)

For the diminished flavour fix, I always have a menthol e-cig around for a good session. It helps to reset the taste Buds. It's also good between switching flavours. The pure true Menthols seem to work the best, not the ones with mints in them such as Halo Cool Mist. 'Mental Menthol' is the most potent pre-made I've tried. For DIY Arctic Menthol flavouring @ Happy Vapor is a true clean tasting menthol or you can get Menthol Crystals from The Perfumers Apprentice.

I've also noticed diminished flavour or no flavour when my sinuses and allergies are acting up. An anti-histamine or removing myself from the allergen has been the only solution at those times.

In the month of Januarry I lost all taste when vaping. It took a while to find the exact source and remove it. Turned out to be the scent in the new cat littler box's sanitation solution. It was the Cat Genie self washing/flushing cat box. I dumped the sanitizing solution cartridge's liquid and refilled it with distilled water and vinegar. To my relief, the next day my vaping taste had started to return.

The thing with the cat box solutions scent is that it was such a mild allergen. It didn't irritate me like a full blown allergy or make me sneeze, but since I was chronically exposed to it, it slowly took away my sinuses in a week. This cat box Blow Dries the granules after washing, so it was venting the mild scent into the home (They do sell scent free solution).

Keep this in mind as some mild allergens are hidden. You could loose your taste buds due to sinus irritations from a new shampoo, cologne, scented candle..

I now know that if Menthol doesn't help bring back my taste buds then it's allergies.

Most of taste is actually smell and you do become de-sensitized to certain smells after a while. I used to work in a paint plant and when people use to comment about how strong the paint smell was, I was puzzled because I didn't notice it. I guess that's how sewage and garbage workers manage to keep from losing their lunch.

This is very true! I just switch up the flavours when one gets kinda muted. Also nice to see someone else in Windsor :D

So far so good. I've taken a break from my regular fruit tobaccos and have been vaping on something new. Can definitely taste the new flavours, but I miss my regular vape. I look forward to my BlackCherry Tobacco from FC. I'll wait it out as long as I can.

I found the Blackcherry Tobacco from FC too perfumey did you every try any of their other fruit flavours? I'm looking for something that tastes authentic and not perfumey or fake if that makes any sense.

I have a whole slew of other flavours that I have purchased. I have not tried all of them yet, but the watermelon didn't necessarily taste "authentic" but it did not taste like candy either. I don't know if that helps.

I've also found MLV blackcherry to be a bit perfumey. I gotta say FC's peach or grape tobacco to be perfect. Not as strong as MLV's but a nice blend. I'll be definately ordering more of the flavoured tobacco's from FC's in the near future.

Grape tobacco from FC is BOSS! I've tried all of their fruit tobaccos and am loving all of them except Banana. (i have not tried coconut) I'm not a huge Banana fan to begin with, but IMO it's not a flavour that should be mixed with tobacco. Kinda tastes as though you're eating a banana split out of a used ashtray.
