Hi all- I'm new at this. I did a lot of research before buying and I ended up with the Volcano Magma 510 starter kit. I also got an aluminum driptip (red.. smexy, lol) because I was reading that a lot of people prefer to drip, and I like the idea of not being stuck with a whole cart of a flavor I might not like.

My question is: how can you tell when to add more juice? I saw that it's bad for the atty to go until you don't get any more vapor, so how can you tell that you're running low? Is it just a matter of practice and knowing how many drags/drop you get?

My hard won experience with this issue:
If you've just blown out the atty, put in 3 drops, vape, put in 1 more drops per vape until it stops tasting burnt. It can take 7 or 8 drops for me before it's working right again.
If you haven't blown out the atty, I use 3 drops.
If it even tastes vaguely burnt, you should add drops unless you think you flooded the atty already(which can also taste burnt). I usually vape slowly in that case and try to get it to work itself out and stop gurgling. Otherwise I blow it out and start from scratch.

It just depends on the atty and how hard you hit it. If you wait for the vape to wane it's gonna be rough on the atty. On a new atty I'll usually hit it 3/4 drops to saturate and then add 2/3 drops every 3/4 hits..but I blaze away. Get a paper towel handy...you're gonna need it. It'll flood and it'll also burn dry that's all in the learning curve....Good Luck and Happy Vaping.........
