I checked that bigbox place. A drop-ship 'company'...not interested>very bad experience with those places and shipping is $8.50 with 1-3wk wait. Nope! Altsmoke is $6 priority USPS and was recommended. Thanks RadicalJD for the other advice about how to save though. I intend to ask Altsm before making the order.
I hadn't thoroughly researched that company, but you are right. The price seems too good to be true.

I asked Altsmke about what the carts were, flavor/N-level? They responded pretty quickly telling me the carts were empty, but they usually 'threw in' a 5ml bottle of menthol flavor. Menthol makes me ill. Apparently I can't get what I want with them so they're Out!

NOW: I intend to send back the direct e-cig kit, just to cut any future losses. So far only 2 of 8 carts have worked fairly well but that's not good enough. Too frustrating. Any special precautions I should take sending their kit back?

I would also recommend a 510 or an eGo. I personally would recommend getting an eGo. I started with the 510 and the battery life compared to the eGo is really a huge difference. The 510 last about 3 vape sessions for me the eGo lasts me until the next day.

I have ordered from Altsmoke a couple times, and I highly recommend them. I wouldn't worry about the menthol juice, you don't have to use it, and this is still a great price. You can always add a bottle or two of juice (which you should do anyway), and if that juice puts you over $85, you get free shipping (which is incredibly fast in my experience). I ordered this free trial as well when I 1st started didnt catch the fine print good thing when it showed up it didnt work at all I called them and they sent me a new part but while I was waiting for it I found this site and awesomevapor.com between the 2 and finding out about the reoccuring charge I shipped it back they will still charge you for the used carts that they sent when I sent mine I paid an extra 42 at the post office to get signature notification you also have to call and get a return # from them or it will get lost because they wont know who it came from.

I ordered the joye 510 from ecigg.org for $39.99, which included 2 manual batteries, 2 atomizers, 5 pre-filled cart., wall charger and instruction booklet. Shipping was FREE. Ordered on Friday - Aug. 21, received - Tuesday - Aug. 24th - very fast shipping. I mistakenly ordered the automatic batteries and emailed them to change my order. They emailed me back within an hour and said that was not a problem and sent me the manual ones. Definetly a great company to order from. This was my 1st time ordering e-cigs and it was a very pleasant experience.
How did you get a 5ml American Blend? The only size NN offers is 30ml.

New member here. Howdy from Texas. I do have a starter kit from direct e-cig. Actually I ordered two sets, one for myself and one for DH. I did read the fine print and cancelled his within time limit. I kept one set, but when I went to cancel further shipments of cartridges, the "savings plan", they refunded the full amount for the starter kit. (I was never charged for DH's kit other than the start up 7.95 shipping) I hope their mistake is my gain.
Anyway I did order three atomizers from them and some blank cartridges and a bottle of juice.
That was right before I found this great forum.
So I now have ordered received, from awesomevapor.com the e-go starter kit and DH and I are using the two batteries and atomizers included with the kit. After using the real thing DH had me order the 801 starter set from "awesome". I like the activation button but he doesn't.
Also ordered more juices and three sampler kits. Awesome has a sale going on right now.
My main questions is.... does anyone know what the direct e-cig set is equivalent to, i.e., compatible battery, atomizer, cartridges.... if at all?
