Question: What pg/vg/nic ratio do you find to be the best?

30pg/70vg is great for DL. I tried 70pg/30vg once by accident and will never do that again. PG is responsible for your throat hit and too much is harsh.
I've been squonking for 5+ years and I go 50/50. I have a hard time using any more VG than that as it doesn't like me that much. I end up with congestion with high vg. The half and half works perfectly. Thins it enough to wick nicely and gi es me the right amount of throat hit I want.
I've been all over the range for years. I started vaping 90pg juices early on when I was buying vendor juice. I began to experiment with the mix when I started DIY. I'm at 50/50 now. I've mixed 70pg/30vg, 60pg/40vg, and settled on 50pg/50vg as a good mix that provides the best flavor and vapor for me.
I like a stealthy vape when I'm out of the house running errands. 50/50 works if I turn down the wattage.

I find that nic supplies all the throat hit one needs, don't need pg. Vg carries flavor just as well as pg, but sometimes needs a bit of steeping depending upon the flavors used in the recipe.

Doing DIY, my mixes end somewhere 10-30% PG. Heating the VG prior to flavors helps thin the VG and to "mature" with the flavor(s) added. Some steeping may still be required for creams and 'baccy" flavors @Baditude
“Best” is one of those terms that doesn’t often apply to ecigs well. “Best” varies dramatically from person to person.
I myself vape VG mixed with a small amount of flavoring which is usually PG based. This usually results in a mix that is 90/10 or higher. I’m not bothered by the VG flavor change and VG tends to be (slightly) cheaper so it’s how I tend to roll. I’ve vaped 50/50 and seen little difference though. Some people develop allergies to either VG or more commonly PG so in that instance a person would likely want to cut out one or the other. There is also PEG which is less commonly used, generally by people with allergy problems.
The best for me is 50pg/50vg/6nic. Love that TH.

In winter I make 75vg/25pg 3mg.
The warmer it gets the more vg I use. Last batch was 82% VG, next one will be 85%.
Flows better through wicking in hot weather than freezing weather.

I have been vaping for just over 4 years. I started making my ejuice about 3 years ago. I have always vaped 60PG 40VG. The only thing that has changed is the nicotine amount. For about the last year and a half, I have leveled out at 5mg/ml. I tried a lower level of nicotine and the results were not good. Oh, I also haven't used any flavoring for about the last 2 years.
I mix two different nic bases, which I use depends on my total flavor percentages.
If flavor % is 8+ base is 8mg 250mg pg salts-6% dw-vg. The if under -8 base is 8mg 250mg pg-6%dw-8% peg400-vg. Average is probably 85-80vg + dw in my mixes, there are a few that are closer to 90vg+dw due to very low flavor %.

As a PG sensitive person I am special. I use 10% pg (Flavors, usually) 40% PEG400 and 50% VG.
PEG 400 is perhaps slightly less cloudy than VG but I still don't get to stealth vape very much at all.
