I want to make an 18650 tube style PV, using a copper pipe. I also want to add LEDs to the sides of the unit (kind of like the vaprlife VP1 & VP2). Are there any step – by –step instructions for this process? Materials list (“you will need” list), dimensions (e.g. size of copper pipe dimension, etc.), and the like would be greatly appreciated also, if anyone has any links to share with me.

Lastly, what are the advantages/disadvantages to making a tube style design that opens from the bottom cap vs opening (unscrewing) from the middle? I assume you always have to vent the bottom for the batteries anyway (right?), just wondering what else I may be missing there. This will be my first mod – all help and ideas are appreciated. :)

Ok… I think I may have answered my own question. What does everyone think about this one:

How much larger do I need to go on the copper pipe, if I use this design and make cutouts for the LEDs? (just lengthen the body rather than increase the diameter of the copper tube, maybe?)

Sorry for the newbie questions, this is a huge forum – it’s easy to get lost or overlook the answers accidentally.
