How to build a 5v mod out of copper pipe?

No. That would be great and simplify things a lot though.
I'm nearly sure this is what Muldrick uses in The Copper totally 6 volts.

You would build a 6volt battery mod then add one of these after the switch before the atty connector:
+5V Fixed-Voltage Regulator 7805 - RadioShack.com
This will reduce the voltage to 5vdc.

How do connect the voltage regulator? It has 3 prongs to it. I know one is the ground... do you leave that disconnected? Do you soldier the output connection directly to the atty connector and the input to the switch?

With the Voltage regulator facing you with the prongs down and the heatsink facing away. Left to right is: Left: Voltage in - Center:Negative or ground - and Right: voltage out.
OK, thanks. Is there a diagram? Now how could I hook up that regulator to the Silver Bullet as well? Any diagrams? I am new to all of this and not great with electric.

I still don't understand, but thanks. What is I just used that 3 prong regulator from Radio Shack... how to you wire that?
7805 reg has a max input of 10v and drops out at 7v so two cr2 batts = 6v and will be below dropout, you will need three cr2 batts to get 9v so it is higher than drop out.
On the pack of the 7805 voltage regulator is says Absolute max ratings: Input voltage: 35v. I would assume that it takes any volts up to 35v and drops it all down to 5v. Now, if I use the mod housing... copper pipe, as the neg... connected to the neg part of the battery and the atty connector outside was touching the housing, I would just have to run the pos of the battery to the switch, then to the input to the regulator, and then out of the regulator to the center of the atty connector. I would assume that I just leave the center pin, the ground, of the regulator unconnected, right?

Okay first do not use this diagram I think I have pretty much made that as clear as I can.
I am as clueless as you are and I am thinking about doing the same type of mod. Only problem is I have no flipping clue what I am doing but I bet I could still do it...
Anyways here is a Diagram of what I am guessing is right but not actually sure on. I welcome any pros or people who have a better idea of what they are doing to modify this image to where it shows what to do correctly.
