Directions for Menthol flavoring

I am a newbie enjoying my e cig. Glad I started and glad I joined this forum. I am now making my own e juice, unflavored, so its a no brainer and that's working well for me. I have gotten my son interested in going with the e cig and would like to make his e juice as well, but the problem is the menthol flavoring. He smokes marlboro menthol lights and I want to duplicate this the best I can. I did a search on menthol flavorings and got a full page of different menthols to choose from. I like the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid) and would like to solicit solutions for making the juice with a menthol flavoring without over complicating this....thanks

The only one I have tried is TFA. It's pretty strong. A few drops in 10 ml is more than enough for me but ymmv. Flavour Art Royal is a tobacco flavor with a hint of menthol/mint and is pretty tasty. Lots of choices out there, but those are the only ones I've tried myself.

+1 on the tfa menthol.It doesn't get much easier than that,it's already in liquid form,so no crystals to deal with.

Haven't tried the crystals. Don't want to either. Lol! I went the cheap route with EM and got the crystals to dilute myself. They don't dissolve for . Took 3 days of shaking to get one 10ml bottle ready for use. I would assume menthol crystals would be similar.

Thanks folks for your input. Sounds like the simplest route is to pick a menthol in liquid form and experiment with it.

I make a straight menthol for my friends mother. I use Flavor West Menthol at 8%

I use the crystals, no problems dissolving in a bit of vodka or PGA.

Only promlem I ran into with straight menthol flavoring was once sing so much there were crystals forming in my finished juice if it sat a few days unused. But that was a sinus clearing blend....

I would go the TFA route as well. It's not the cheapest method, but its still quite affordable. a 10ml bottle will last you a while! its important to make it weaker at first, and if needed, to add more. I learned the hard way that you can't add less, but you can always add more...

I left my graduated cylinder sitting out for half an hour after I mixed up a bottle of mentholated juice and it grew some cool looking crystaline gunk. Lol! It was one of my first attempts at a menthol and I used WAY too much, but still... That stuff will turn back to crystals pretty quick if you leave it exposed to air.

I diluted mine down with some unflavored mix at the same nice level. After that a few good shakes took care of the problem. Mine got that way by "GOING FOR MORE FLAVOR".....

TFA sells menthol already dissolved in PG. Works great. I use 8 drops per 10ml in my menthol cig blends......
