Just seeing if anybody else has or is experiencing this effect?? Briefly...former 35 year ex smoker fir 5 months now thanks to vaping. Started out with the little ego stick- tanks and have now moved up to sub ohm tanks and rda builds. My problem is that some flavors smell great..like anything strawberry ...but I just cannot taste that.... I am using both an iSubG and an Arctic both with .5ohm coils and I have both a mad hatter mini and a plume veil clone that I do .3 or .4 dual coil builds with organic Japanese cotton. All of these are powered by either my cool fire IV or my MVP 3.0 pro. So as you can see i have some good working tools...but what's up with the flavor??? I get almost all if my juices from Mt Baker. I do max VG with 3mg nic for dripping and 20pg80vg with one extra flavor shot fir my sub tanks. I normally drink coffee with cream and sugar while vaping. Right now I am using max VG banana nut bread in the hatter...at 25 Watts...first draw us great. ..clouds and flavor...but as I sit here typing this...down to clouds and NO flavor. Same with the tanks. .. I have tried over 3 dozen flavors... U can smell them great in the bottles...but I get either no flavor or it fades to black. Strawberry ..nothing ...coconut same ..blackberry is just sour... The banana nut is the only one that lasts for a bit. But... I have an older bottle if RY4 from Poconos vapes in my kanger pro tank 3 with a 1.5 coil and at 10 or 12 Watts I can taste that all day long???? I do have a capt crunchberry that I can taste in the sub ohm for a longer time as well. Any comments....suggestions...help most appreciated. Happy vaping. Cheers. Mace

If you can ask for a higher pg ratio I would try that VG Has less harshness in the throat and give more vapor where pg give it the hard hit to the throat but hold flavoring better. In my personal opinon
Also if you have been vapeing the same flavor for a long period of time my case was like 3 weeks straight you can get a case of vapors toung (nothing serious) a lot of people use different technics to zap there tastebuds or reset them but none of the cures worked for me I put my vape down for about 10 to 12 hours and came home from work saturated my wick with my juice and it was like high school love again you could also switch to juice that you have bought that you don't care to much for during this time you should not be able to taste it to get you though the time to let your taste buds reset but do not mix the juices you like with the ones you don't like you will just prolong the wait
Best of luck friend

Hey thanks....the RY4 is a 50-50 blend so you may be onto something there. I did have the vapor tongue several months back when I was the mad vaper after tossing the cigs. I will try the 50-50 for the sub ohm....that may just do the trick. Thanks

Sounds like we were in the same boat with the cigs I hardly ever put my vape down haha but best of luck and happy vaping

I've had this same problem. I found multiple things cause the flavor to fade. Some juices when they get too hot from chain vaping will fade. Also depends on the quality of the juice and the ratio of pg to vg. I have also noticed some of my coil builds cause the flavor to fade or just be weak from the start.
I use juices from Thunderhead Vapor and I rarely get the flavor loss I've experienced with my other juices. You should check them out.

I've noticed fresh made juices need time to steep. MBV juices are always better in a week to 10 days after arrival.

You bet....I always shake ...shake ...shake and let them sit for two weeks before I use them. One suggestion was going lower vg and higher pg...but I am worried about too much throat burn when I sub ohm ???

Everyone is different with pg/vg. I vape from 60pg/40vg to 50/50 most of the time with no issue. I'm only vaping the .5 ohm subtanks at 30 watts or less. You could always order a small bottle of the higher pg with your next order, or go to a local vape shop and buy one to see.

Hiding up a tree
The flavouring level in the juices might be too high for you (too strong), which would explain why the first vape is good and then the taste declines.
It sounds like your tastebuds are becoming sated and no longer stimulated by the constant flavour onslaught, so you could try mixing a bit of unflavoured juice with it and see if that helps.
Or just mix in a small amount of VG. Obviously mix them in a small, empty bottle (or other vessel) rather than using your Mt Baker e-juice bottles.

Thanks...all the local vape crowd said to do max or high vg...but I think they are more into clouds and less flavor....I will order some 50 50 at 3mg nic and give it a whirl.
