I hated these new carts when I first tried them but was determined to make them work! I loved the idea of having nearly 2ml of juice in each cart and having a consistent vape until it was gone. If you have given up on these, you might find this simple mod to be a life saver.
This is the step by step...This is for an XL but will work on the regulars also, just make the tube the same size as the CE2 tube.

Materials and tools needed
3ml syringe- I happened to have Terumo brand but have also used ones marked “mono ject”.
CE2 Cart
Tube cutter
Dremmel Tool- you could probably use an Xacto knife but when I did I cracked the tube.

Take your CE2 cartridge (new or used), with a tube cutter, cut the tube approximately 10mm above the battery connector.
Take your syringe, remove the plunger and using a Dremmel tool, cut at both ends leaving approximately 50mm. I tend to leave it a little longer to avoid sanding it too short making it level.
Attach the CE2 (without the tube) to the battery and do a quick dry burn to prevent any bad taste. Activate the button for approximately 5 seconds, do this until there is no smoke and the coils glow red.

Slide the tube over the CE2 tube, one end may be slightly smaller than the other but I have not noticed a difference on which end works best.

Take the rubber filler piece from the CE2 and trim the little slits larger, I used a pair of cuticle scissors but clippers or a Xacto knife may work also. Place this over the ceramic cup lining the slips up with the slits on the cup where the wick goes down the side. Add a white mouth piece. Now you can trim the tube if you left it a little long. I use a dremmel wheel flat against the tube to get it level.
You can now fill the cart by just dripping along the edges.
After about 2 refills on the cart, remove the syringe tube (put it on a battery and gently pull it off) rinse under hot water, dry gently with a paper towel. Put the cart (without the syringe tube) back on the battery and do a dry burn for approximately 5 seconds, repeat until the wires glow red. Place the syringe back on the cart, refill and you’re ready to go.
This is the best vape I have ever seen in my 18 months!

Been using a syringe mod of an E2 myself and I can tell you it does work.

My top piece is different with a drip tip that I can slide up or down. Closer to the cup gives a hotter vape, but its nice to be able to adjust it. Storms above looks like it would be too hot for my taste. I like my tip about 1/2 inch above the cup and then I still have the length of the drip tip for it to cool more.

Its been my go to home vape set-up. Soon as I get a few more syringes I am making more for different flavors.

Good to see your tutorial 'storm'. I see you have the 'monoject's too. They're working much better for me then the first ones I had. I also notice you don't have the black plunger in these?

My first one had an adjustable mouthpiece I made from the syringe cap (pic #1). It was nice to adjust the gap on top. It's too big to fit into my 'monoject' syringe. I used a regular mouthpiece on it (pic #2).

I didn't mention that these are 3 ohms and not too hot at this distance, at least not for me. Good add on though.
Some things I'm finding w/ a large gap on top is the vape is cooler but more condensation forms. This can juice ya and flow back down into the air flow tube and out the batt end if it builds up so I'll make one w/ less on top to compare.

Looks good Turbo! I have been experimenting with the filler caps, I made the slit bigger and I think it's sealing better. I kept the black plungers just in case! So far, I think I like these better. Maybe, I punched the hole too big in the black ones. Need more to experiment.
I never had any issues with the Terumo syringes, in fact, I just ordered more. I havent done too much with the distance either, I like it close. I use my Buzz on anything less than 2.8 ohms and just dial in the sweet spot. This is all I've used for a few weeks now and it doesn't get any better than this as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks, I had a black plunger ready w/ a small hole in it. I would've needed it for the larger 3ml syringe but find the filler ring does seal the 'monoject' fine too.

Yes, these work great and it's cool to see the guts working. Now if carto condoms would fit that would be a plus. They almost fit on the 'monoject' but not quite.

I did the syringe mod but left off the filler ring seal around the cup but only because I couldn't get the 'slits' lined up properly. Let's make sure of your terminology here.

You mention making the slits larger...are you speaking of the small half moon thingie at the bottom of the filler ring? You aren't cutting through the filler holes themselves are you? But then you mention that after you place the filler ring back in there with the larger slits you drip fill it and this is what threw me off. I was confused on this part because you can't drip fill it down the sides if the filler ring is in place.

I used the BD syringe I got from madvapes also...I heard someone mention that you can get these readily in stores. Can anyone confirm this? Can you walk into a walmart or a cvs or walgreens and pick these up?

I agree, I'm testing it with no condoms now to see if they will leak in your pocket. Using a small zip bad, of course. I'll let you know.

Awesome, let me know. Yes, I had mine in a ziplock too...lol... The only time I got any leakage is when the condensation built up. I tested this theory by cleaning the condensation out, refilling and leaving on a clean napkin overnight; no leakage.

Since you have less room on top you may be ok.

Good find, here's the link.

The three I've heard of that people like are, all plastic 3ml:

Terumo- 8.95mm
Kendall monoject- 8.94mm
BD- 8.66mm

Seems like the BD is the smallest with the Terumo and K. monoject close. I can't imagine a tighter fit then the monoject I'm using. I had to push hard on it to seat.

Of course there may be different syringe models within each company?
