Ya, I switched back to the plungers. I cut the whistle tip off at the seam where it would normally end at the atty, took the little piece out of the mouth piece and drilled into the top of the mouth piece to create more air flow. Basically bore it out from the top. Fits perfectly on top of the black plunger. I made a few more and left them a little longer, it slips in snug so the BD's may be even more snug. They may fit in the others I just haven't tried yet.

I've been doing that with the whistle tip since way back when. Never needed to drill a hole in it though. Maybe mine are different. I also modify the round type too, but they are a bit more trouble.

nice write-up Industrial...

I'm going to bed but will type up the steps I take. I'll do a video in the future. I'll check back in the morning to answer questions.

Materials:
510 XL CE2R4 Carto
3ml BD plastic syringe (no needle)
1 empty Lipton pyramid tea bag
Filling syringe
eJuice
eGo

Tools:
Pipe cutter
Tweezers (small, pointed tip kind)
Sharp hobby knife

Steps:
Remove black sticker from carto and all three rings
Cut carto with pipe cutter about 6mm (or more) from the battery connection
Remove carto from tube
Adjust wicks so they go all the way to the bottom of the carto and are even
Trim excess wick from free ends
Remove syringe plunger
Cut top and bottom off of syringe
Twist wicks around carto stem
Slightly widen bottom of syringe tube (I jam a ball point pen up it and wiggle it around)
Insert into syringe tube, bang on the desk a couple of times to get it seated properly
Lay out PTB
Fold 1/4" flap or do it twice if you really want more wicking
Cut strip ^
Hold strip against the tube and trim the bottom to just above the battery connection
Insert PTB strip down the inside of the tube along the cup slits
Repeat on other side
Increase size of slits on the fill ring
Insert modded fill ring (this is the only tricky/hard part but I personally think it is important)
Fill modded carto w/eliquid using a syringe (no need to measure, tube is see-through afterall)
Insert second ring
Insert top cap OR drip tip (drip tip helps cool vapor)
Screw on to your battery and vape away

Note: I always keep the stock wicks AND add PTB. More wicking is better than less IMPO. I think the reason I don't like stock CE2's is because they can't wick worth a damn. Plus, every one I've cut apart has wicks that aren't the right length to get the whole tube.

Good luck. I'll check for questions in the morning!

I just got my CE2R4s in and modded one with the 3cc tube. Cool beans.
This was an easy mod. I really like seeing how much juice you have in the carto.
I will work up to the PTB part soon but don't have any yet.
I like the taste of the CE2R4. even screwed the voltage way down.
Thanks gang for the info. No more dripping while driving.

I myself have to have a good medium warmth to the vapor...with the atty up near the mouth piece its great...

gotlogos,

Did you get your monoject? I am waiting form mine. I did order 20 pcs as well for 3 bucks. I've been trying the mod out for last 2 days.
The one with filler ring reseated = no leaks , no wicking problem ( cut bigger hole for airflow, bigger slot on bothside for better wicking on filler ring)

the one with filler ring reseated upside down had a leak from top.

Had wicking problem on ce2 r4 808d out of the box. PTB tookcare of that. I haven't try syringe mod on 808 yet.
