Disappointed in Gamucci, and now this forum, as well.

But I'm so lazy! D-:< I don't want to have to press a button! Hah, I'm just kidding. Well, no, I'm not, I really am that lazy, but I may have to reconsider getting an automatic now. What's so unreliable about them? And I checked out the Riva kit. Looks good, though the liquid at this place seems a lil pricey.

the first auto batteries had a tendency to fire around loud music and noises. I've heard people say that this doesn't happen (much) anymore. The biggest problem is eliquid dripping into the hole and frying the battery circuits. Liquid causes a short circuit condition.
A manual battery with a sealed connection will still short from the e-liquid, but the protection circuit will kick in and the battery wont be fried. Cleaning the atty threads and the battery connector will solve the short and you can continue vaping. Make sure you blow out the atty/carto real fast so more liquid won't drip back in immediately and recreate the short circuit you just fixed.

LOL, so am I...that is why I am going with a bottom feeder mod. Pop in a bottle and a battery, don't fool with it again for the whole day. I have the eGo (Riva is just an off-brand eGo). What I like about it is that one or two battery charges will last me the day, and I use Cartomizers (combined atty and cartridge), which lets me prefill and three will take me through the day. The Ego battery is tough enough to use the Boge 2ohm cartomizers, which provide a superior throat hit.

Don't get your juice at LF, unless you want to pick up a bottle while you wait for your other juice to come in. Personally, I like VaporBomb. Lots of other great juice vendors on here, too.

The unreliability is because they have a hole in the battery and are actually sound activated. So they can easily be damaged by leaking juice and can self-activate from loud noises (burning a hole is your pocket?). Generally, people that have had them think they are a PIA.

Thanks for the great info, everyone. I may go with the Riva 510, after all, but I wish the automatics didn't have these problems. And now looking at the flavors, I can't wait to try them out! Think I'll order tonight!

And since I think I'm at able to, now, I'll post a review when I try it out! >:D

If you stick with the 510 compatable threads, you can always pick up a couple cheap auto batteries, just about
any supplier has them. The Riva can be your main vape and autos as backups, and for when your hands are
too busy for a button.

So we are WAY off the initial topic now. Why is this thread still going?
Just wondering...

Cheap entertainment.
People are social animals.
A.D.D.
Initial topic resolved and the horse is well beat and starting to smell.
This thread wants to grow up like every other thread.
A.D.D.
To keep people wondering.

Yeah, I'm with AlmightyGod on this one. Just looked at the Gamucci products. It looks like a 510 using carts. It is way overpriced but that isn't the topic of the thread. It is probably a cheapy 510 knock-off or just crappy cart manufacturer. Go get a real atomizer and a drip tip and use some tasty juice. You'll like it a whole lot better. There are good cartomizer suppliers out here too if you don't want to use an atomizer.

Also hang in there, this is an awsome forum. I totally enjoy reading the interesting debates that happen on all kinds of threads throughout. And the information here is second to none.

Cheers!
