I had a cartomizer that did not work on a battery. no vapor.. so I turned the part on the carto that touches the battery a quarter turn, and it fixed my problem.

im new, so excuse me if i didnt make any sense.. i'll refrain from putting in my 2 cents for now.. :p

No, don't misunderstand, and don't stop posting! I use that fix myself, just for a non working carto, not a non-working battery! That's why I was confused. I was pretty sure you knew something I didn't...

Welcome in, please! :)

I think she is having the same luck as the rest of us. I like that she keeps her expectations high and is vocal when she is disappointed. Too much garbage is being sold to us. Very few vendors even use the stuff they sell. Most vendors carry what we think we want. Very few try out different products and only sell the ones they like and are happy with.

Kudos to Dawn.

I actually asked Steve what e cig he uses, and what I found shockingly is that he and Mark uses the ones V4L makes, (As far as I know V4L is ran by him and Mark, not sure if anyone else runs it) but yes, Steve does use mods, only to test and see what is good about them so he can in the future make batteries better and better. I figured a guy like Steve and Mark would be using the best of the best mods. But they use their own brand and juice's. That makes me very happy to know, because then if they get a messed up battery, they will find the problem out, contact the developer and fix it.

please don't stop putting in your 2cents.....especially since you are new, you will learn more if you do contribute...and lol....that's this fam for ya....no offense was meant by either Snow or Joyce.....I know Snow is still trying to figure out how that spin on the carto works...he has a vid out where he dissected one and it just doesn't make sense based on how they are put together. I figure it does the same as prying the bat post a tad.....

At any rate....please please post away GF:)

with all the cheap poopy products out there by shady money greedy companies, Im glad there is V4L. Its hard out there. People see me vaping on my v4l batts and assume its one of those crappy ones from the mall kiosk or something. A lot of people assume all 'ecigs' are bad. But once they try mine out they are like, wow this stuff really can work! I really like the people that tell me Im so cutting edge and futuristic hah! Im just like, ya cigs are so 20th century. :D

To the OP, ya you should have ordered more than one! Once you get your replacement order like 5 more! hah! happy vaping!

Just got my 2nd order in: pcc with mini red battery, 5 various packs of cartomizers and a drip tip. =)

Unfortunately the battery is defective I think. Hopefully someone can help? Out of the 2 packs of cartos I opened only 2 would screw onto the battery. The other eight just barely screw on and then stop. And, the battery cuts off after 2 seconds and isn't producing more than a slight hint of vapor.

I'm so upset because I got a WOW coffee cartomizer to fit and I can taste it. It taste SOOO good, but with the 2 second cutoff and no vapor I couldn't enjoy it and the cart won't work on my other kr8 batts :(

I've opened a support ticket but I was wondering if I'm missing something to get the cartos on, or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

The drip tip though I'm using in my usual kr8 and LOVING it! The pcc is lime green and fabulous as well! :)

The cart should fit on the "other" battery brand. I interchange both carts and batterys between the two companys.

I have 3 batteries with threads that weren't quite right.... 1 auto regular from V4L, 1 auto regular from a different vendor, and 1 manual XL from a 3rd vendor. This is out of probably a dozen batteries I have purchased (so far), the last 7 of them from V4L..... I used emery paper to tune them up and all is good.... I assumed there was just a little burr left on the threads.
Of course if I couldn't vape my WOW coffee I would be pretty unhappy and I would really hate a 2-sec cutoff :)

Genuinefraud....no hard feelings partner...at least there wasn't meant to be on my part. I just didn't understand what you meant by line them up. Oddly enough this is topic on another active thread right now so here's a link to that...and by all means don't stop posting. You will see Maxwell youtube vid on the top.

You'll see a youtube link to my last post on the bottom, the video has a close up of a full cut-away of Cartomizer including the base/air tube in question.

Dawnsdone,

Look at it, don't look at it...the fixes are easy, take seconds, and won't place a warranty in jeopardy.

Good luck, hope it all works out.

This is the joys of China machining. They do it all on manual machines with limited quality control. I helped a member of the V4L family with some of these issues when he was over there, explaining to him how to use calipers and check some of these things. He has since left V4L and we have no QC control right now. I'm certain Steve doesn't find this acceptable and is working on something as we speak. But it takes time, then more time to get the Chinese to change the ways they do things. The employee's don't understand taps and dies wear out, the employer's are trying to keep costs down so they don't encourage changing them out regularly. It's a viscous circle!
BUT, with this company you at least KNOW they are trying, and improving things all the time. Look back at the products from even a year ago to the improvements they have made today to the same products.
I also assure you before this is over, battery working or not, she will have a new one three days from now.

OP, the reason it is cutting off is because the fact that the carto and post is not touching, I had that problem with a few XL's and a good buddy of mine, Born, told me to sand them down a little, I did and after a few turns with a fine grain sandpaper it worked for all the carts that did not work. If you want you can try it, I am not saying it will work, or wont, but it is worth a shot. V4L will always try something to make you SMILIN, and I saw Mark took care of it for ya, but I do wish you luck!

It does connect to two cartomizers well and same thing ?

Yeah its weird I put the v4l cart on and I get a LOT of noise, tons of air, hardly any vapor. SO I covered a couple of the air holes, noise is better but vapor is still non-existent and it makes the draw harder.

You know for the money that we all pay for e-cig stuff, we shouldn't even have to mess with the hardware and fix it to where we can use them right. That is just so wrong. But that IMO. :)
Skeeterkck

SnowDragon has a few videos on the fixing battery and carto (carrot) problems. My Dad had a battery with this problem. All you should need to do is gently sand down the battery threads a bit and the cartos should fit. Another thing you can do is adjust the post on the battery and the carto.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ixes-check-out-cut-away-burnt-cartomizer.html

BTW batteries are usually 80-90% charged and ready to go, so I don't think that is the problem. Good luck!

Let's try this again...

Nothing in this world is perfect, if it was that too would be a fault thus negating it's perfection.... The point is, there will be mistakes, but as this thread clearly shows there are not only ways to fix them, but if all else fails this company stands behind their products and will replace them. Snow sir's videos are a huge help. They got me through my early issues when I first came to V4L.
