disappointed with Provari Mini V2.5

I have a Vision Spinner 1300mAh that I use with a KangerTech PT Mini and it works great but I wanted something that would produce more thicker vapor, so I bought a Provari Mini V2.5. It hits the same as my Vision Spinner except I can turn up the voltage higher on the Provari but I don't because it just tastes burnt when I turn it up too high. I like my Vision Spinner better because I get better flavor and I think its because of the mini tank. I can't use the mini tank with my Provari. What can I do to get more out of my Provari? I'm so disappointed. Thank you.

if your looking for more vapor, you should considering trying and RDA.
the smok tech octopus mini AKA "squid" is what i recommend for a first RDA.
i get my wick and wire from Lightning Vapes - All the RBA Materials you need! Silica Wick, Ekowool, Kanthal Wire, Stainless Steel Mesh and more!
you will also need some way to check the ohms, the provari could do this for you. or you could pick up a multimeter at your local hardware store for about 20 bucks.

Agree with others, look into a different tank. Rebuildable or a dual-coil carto tank. I had an evic before my Mini and the low amp limit didn't allow much performance out of a dual-coil carto, the Provari allowed me to get the voltage up where it should and it really shined. Right now though I am using an AgA-T+ with a 1.1 ohm coil and it hits like a freight train :)

The he build quality of the Provari is top notch too, mine has taken a few drops and still works and nothing is broken. Can't say that for the eVic from what I have read.

If you really don't like it you could send it to me. I'll make sure it's working!

Really if you want better vapor, you want to try different attys. Rebuildable gennys are a good place to start, or you could go with a kayfun, pretty trouble free once you find a coil/wick combo that works for you.

If your wondering if youre ready for rebuildables, I say that when clearos don't give what you need, it's time to move to rebuildables.
another option would be cartos, they really are a better vape than clearos.

Well, you bought a new tire to fix a blown motor.(example) Obviously the wrong part for your goal.
That said, you now have a very nice Mod and simply need a really nice topper to get the job done.
Wide selection of devices that will fit the bill.

If you don't like to fiddle much get a Carto tank or a Nautilus
If your willing to build coil setups get a Kayfun or Squape
If you just want more Cloud - a good Dripper will do the trick. Again you will be building wick/coil setups.

Can't say that for the eVic from what I have read.

Read this - 2 eVics, 14+ Months old. To many drops to remember.
Both still look great and work like the day I got them - used Daily.:)

You don't have to bash one Mod to appreciate another.

If you like clearomizers then you will be happier with a sigelei zmax mini. It has ego threads as well as 510.

Most people use tanks with cartos on their provaris, or RBAs. If you want to stick with a clearo-like delivery device, then you should try a 510 threaded bigger tank first before giving up. :) (as others suggested) Not an ego threaded one. See how that feels for you.

NO battery is not going to produce thicker vapor....it is the delivery device and the juice you are using that does that.

A good battery like provari is just going to give you dependability, more voltage options, etc.

If you really decide not to keep it then get verified for the classified and sell it, then buy something else. :)

It definitely depends on the topper you have, you can get any result you want with the right set up.

I have an IBTanked, great for convenience and flavour. An Aerotank which is just convenient and reliable, but RDA's are where it shines for me. On a 1.4 ohm coil, I've got CRAZY flavour and more than enough punch behind those clouds :D A Kayfun would give you the best of both worlds. You can make a coil to suit your needs and still have the convenience of a tank!

Unfortunately the Provari is not going to improve vapor production. it's the topper you put on it that dictates vapor, flavor, etc. But the good news is that your options for a topper increase considerably with a device the size of a Provari since so many are made for larger devices. I wouldn't recommend an RBA unless you really feel you want to mess with building coils. Not everyone does. But if you have tried that out & like doing it even a little bit you might consider one.

I have also heard good things about Carto tanks from those who use them regularly. Myself I can't say anything about them as I went pretty quickly to RDAs but there are many vapers out there who love the Provari Carto tank set up for flavor & consistency.

edit: lol I made my post before reading the thread & now that I have I see that the majority have suggested the carto tank/Provari combo. So I guess that was a good suggestion. :)

The only clearomizer tank I'd suggest would be the Aspire Nautilus for a Provari.

Next step up would be a cartotank. Clearomizers only have tiny silica strings wicking e-liquid to the coil head. If you are a moderate to heavy vaper, they'll have trouble keeping up with you resulting in dry or burnt hits. To compensate, you'll pull harder on your draw often resulting in flooding. This leads to inconsistancy.

A cartomizer is full of wick (polyfill), so it won't have the wicking issues that a clearomizer has. All that surface area of wick results in more flavor, more vapor, and more consistancy. Cartomizers to be used in a cartotank will need to be "pre-punched".

To get even more vapor, you'll need to advance on to rebuildables. The best for a Provari would be a Kayfun-style rebuildable tank atomizer (Kayfun, Russian 91%, EHPro). These are advaced delivery attachments which will require some research on your part on how to make coils/wicks and learn some Ohm's Law calculations.

Is it a Carto, a Tank, or What?

I'll echo this. Bottom fed airflow won't work the best on the provari. A kayfun or similar RBA works incredible. If you do not or are not ready to go there, the Nautilus or an adapter with side fed air is the way to go. Don't give up on the provari, it really is a great PV, it just needs to be married to the right topper.

Don't feel bad, when I got my first real "mod" I couldn't figure out for the life of me why my eGo-T atomizers didn't work any better on it than they did on my little eGo batteries. However it didn't take me all that long to figure out that a dripping atty sure did.

Your Provari does a better job of providing power, now all you need is a topper that can take advantage of that power.

    Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Also, the ProVari eventually pays for itself because you don't throw the whole thing away when the battery dies. You just buy a new, very much cheaper, battery and keep vaping on the same device.

Spinners are great...I had a couple....except when something goes wrong with them. That's what pushed me to upgrade.

Your particular issue at this time, however, is definitely your topper. I don't recommend going beyond a clearomizer at this point for you unless you really feel ready to step up to those toppers with a slightly steeper learning curve.
