My wife came home from the store complaining of her E-juice tasting burnt. I turned the 1300mah Vision spinner down to its lowest setting and took a draw and it tasted burnt to me too. I put another topper on the spinner and still..Burnt. I took out my Multi-meter and tested the Battery and shockingly I got 6.8 volts no matter the setting. This makes me wonder if these use a higher voltage, say 7.2 and Buck it down? Anyways, Big Props to Vulcan Vapor of Nashville, Tn who acknowledged that they'd had problems out of this batch of vision spinners and proceeded to replace my unit with the unit of my choice, free of charge,,,-even though the Batt. in question was 3 weeks out of warranty. Customer service means a lot to me and I was impressed that they, Vulcan Vapor, Did the right thing. Has anyone else had trouble with Vision Spinners? BTW, I chose a 1300mah smok tech spinner as my replacement .- Dave

The lack of quality control on the China stuff is amazing to me. Gotta be at least 1 in 100 on the average that's got some kind of problem.

And that's why is a good damned thing China don't make commercial airliners, artificial heart valves or heart pacemakers. :)

Oh ya ... stay away from Chinese drywall too

Whoa...7.2 volts ?!? I thought spinners only went up to something like 4.3.

Spooky

I know right? I tested it 4 or 5 times just to be certain..I wish someone with more battery knowledge could shed some light on how that happened? Are "spinner", "Twist" units bucked down from a higher voltage?

I had a twist battery that came in my kit and I kept popping coils with it and didn't know why. I also didn't see what variable voltage was all about because I couldn't tell a difference all the way up or all the way down. One day I found my multimeter and checked it and it was putting out almost 6v no matter what the setting.

Makes me think they've got two 3.6's running in series and then buck circuited down... The guy at the Vape shop said they'd had a bunch returned due to failure. Up to this point in my vaping career I have never had a bad experience with any Vision products but...I guess a bad batch is subject to get through from time to time. I'm just thankful the Vulcan vape stood behind the sale and replaced my unit.

Don't know if there was actually a problem with that Spinner. But as far as the voltage reading goes these are 33 Hz PWM devices. You cannot get a correct voltage reading using a standard meter - unless it's capable of sampling 33 times per second. Specialized equipment is required.

NOPE, Wrong on that one, I got a rock steady reading....I thought the same thing too due to PWM but I can also get a steady reading on my Ego twists AND it's dead accurate. That's why I said it must be a buck circuit bringing down a higher voltage rather than a boost PWM circuit bringing a voltage up. I'm not an expert by any means but I do know the battery was burning up juices so bad that I threw out the clearo cause I kept tasting the charred flavor. Also the Battery tested at a steady 6.8 volts no matter what I had the dial set at. There were no fluctuations or stuttering. I was under the impression that a 33hz chip couldn't be read on a basic multi meter... I also know that the shop acknowledged having sold a bad batch of spinners. It's possible that it is boosted but at a freq. smooth enough for a basic M.M. to read...

I have had poor luck with Vision Spinner batteries that I have bought locally here in the US.

1. First one just stopped working completely after 1 month ... The little white light would not come on either when the button was pushed.

2. Second one charges, but the light on the charger does not go from red to green after the battery is fully charged ... just stays red all the time.

(there is nothing wrong with my charger)
