Anyone know where I can find a Disaronno recipe? Inactive user @HeadInClouds had one posted on their blog, but apparently their blog data has been deleted https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/blogs/headinclouds.156342/
I will try it as-is and with a regular bourbon (or whiskey) instead of vanilla bourbon . The creator of the recipe says that it's Disaronno "with a touch of cream" which isn't really Disaronno then lol.
The original recipe only lists 'touch of cream' as an additive/one of the uses of the flavoring. The original recipe doesn't have any cream and would be more like the real Disoranno.Yes, a little bird told me. I rarely go there anymore because since the site is hosted on a budget server outside the USA it's pages load excruciatingly slow for me 80% of the time. But I accessed it and saved it to my hard drive. I will try it as-is and with a regular bourbon (or whiskey) instead of vanilla bourbon . This will be my first attempt at a complex juice (complex defined as more than one flavor lol). I'm not normally interested in getting too involved in juice making or having a boat load of flavors in my stash, but I'm willing to make an exception for Disaronno.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Vanilla Bourbon has a boozy taste. It's more of a gourmet vanilla like Madagascar Vanilla.
As you may be aware, 'vanilla bourbon' isn't a booze flavor, I think it refers to a type of vanilla bean from the isle of Bourbon.
Ooops. No I wasn't aware of that.I guess that's why the picture on retailer sites doesn't show a glass of bourbon.
Do either of you have experience adding Whiskey flavoring to juice to get a "boozy" note? If so, do you have any recommendation on which whiskey flavor to use and at what percentage to start at?
I have only used bourbon and rum and only nicvape flavorings. I would start low, you can always add more lol. I think I used .5 or 1.0. Booze flavors are sort of overpowering in a mix.Ooops. No I wasn't aware of that.I guess that's why the picture on retailer sites doesn't show a glass of bourbon.

I would say yes, especially if you add a lot of booze to it. I used such a small amount that it didn't require it but is best after a few days. Granted, I am not a 'steeping' sort of gal and rarely do it.In your experience, do juices that use booze flavors require steeping just because of the booze? I see that the Disaronno juice supposedly does not absolutely require steeping but just wondering if adding booze may change that.
How is that recipe coming along @UncleJunkle
It's not a total failure though because what it tastes like is a Jamaican Rum liquid I used to vape (HeartlandVapes?) many years ago - I mean exactly like it - without the boozy flavor. It has a coconut note to it just like that eliquid did. I will eventually add some TFA Kentucky Bourbon to see what that's like. So this recipe might be a keeper, but not as an Amaretto.
