Gah, I try to explain this to the Apple hater's crowd. There's something to be said for an elegant design. I decided to go the PC route this time for home music recording, and 4 sound cards, 3 PC cases, 4 CPU fans, and 20 something different case fans later, I have the silent PC I can use for recording. I added it all up, not even factoring in my time which has value, and I'd have saved a small fortune if I'd just gotten a Mac Pro to begin with. Doubly dumb in my case because I'm completely at home with OSX, and Tracktion runs great on it. So now I have an ugly PC. It works great, but it came at a cost. Still, good luck getting Steam working on a mac.....
Anyhow, there's a reason you rent a limo for prom if that matters to you.
If you don't mind holding what used to be a flashlight up to your face, more power to you. Go buy one and make a mod. Don't forget to also buy some atomizer connector, or something you can mod into one. Don't forget to get extra wire, and silver solder, and a soldering iron if you don't have one, and a dremel if you don't have something to cut holes, and a resistor if you are going to drop the voltage, and a decent switch if you aren't already taking things apart. Maybe some PVC pipe for a battery spacer, perhaps some sandpaper, primer, and paint if you are going to personalize. (ProTip: Get a leatherman wave also. So many useful tools you'll use) Also, make sure you have the spare time to gather all this stuff and assemble it without making some big mistake. And it will still look like a flashlight. So.....
Get yourself a metal lathe or CNC Machinery. Come up with a slick design. Make a few prototypes, and use them for a while to make sure they are safe. Come up with your optimal voltage/amperage, and built materials. Find your perfect switch. Make a list of design faults from your prototype, improve it, remake it, and eventually have something you can show up to prom with. Someday.
Or just go order a Prodigy.
