Greetings!
Forgive my long post, but I thought I might share my start into the world of e-cigs and vaping.
I have smoked for almost thirty years, and never been able to quit for longer than a week. I have now been free of cigarettes and tobacco for one month thanks to the e-cig. I have no urge or desire for a cigarette.
I first heard of the electronic cigarette on the radio, and thought that has to be a scam. Later I saw an add on a web site, and decided to do some searching with Google.
Google led me to the ECF, where I was able to immediately relate with many of the members experiences. Also, a place where people understood that cigarette smoking was much more than nicotine addiction, and that just nicotine replacement does not work for many if not most smokers.
After doing some Internet research on the potential downside of vaping, I came to the conclusion that while all the health effects may not be known, it is at least 100 times better than smoking cigarettes. I decided to jump in and give the e-cig a chance.
After reviewing numerous reviews, I choose the ProVape as my battery mod. While not inexpensive, I wanted a quality battery with decent run-time and flexibility. The ProVape is definitely a quality device.
I went with the 510 adapter on the ProVape because of the popularity of the platform. I also got two TrustFire batteries, two atomizers, five LR cartomizers, a drip tip, and 30ml of 24mg Mrlbro juice. The ProVape also came with five sample bottles of juice, my favorite being the English Toffee.
I do not care for the LR cartomizers on the ProVape, they seem to burn too quickly. I had one burn out almost immediately, and another was burnt very quickly. I initially thought the taste was the Creme de Menthe juice, but upon dis-assembly the coil was black, and not from lack of juice.
The remaining LR cartomizers worked for a while, but the flavor and vapor did not come close to dripping on the atomizer, and there seemed to be a harsh taste with some juices. I have since bought some standard cartomizers, and while they do not seem to be as prone to burning, the vapor is less than the LR's.
I am now using carts with standard 510 atomizers, and get real good flavor and vapor on the ProVape. I usually mix the Mrlbro with English Toffee (both from ProVape) for what I think is an excellent tasting vaporful experience. I can vape non-stop for hours with this, I find it very satisfying.
I use to smoke while driving, and that had always been the hardest routine to overcome when attempting to quit previously. Now I just load up with a couple of carts for driving to work work and couple when coming home, and all is good.
For me, vaping provides the satisfaction I received from smoking, without all the bad stuff. In fact I think vaping is even more satisfying. I can hardly wait for the next big advance in vaping technology.
