HI
I posted before the issues I am having with my Ego batteries and my charger. I am to the point tonight that my battery went out while the other one was still on the charger. It did not even function for an hour charged! I only have my PT to use until my battery charges if it ever does. I put it on the AC outlet as suggested by the supplier but that does not seem to do anything.

I really am not happy with the performance of this equipment. For what I paid for it, I certainly expected it to live longer than 5-6 weeks. I need advice as to what to replace it with. Is the Riva better quality? Does it usually last longer? If not what would be a good replacement that is going to hold up to heavy vaping?

I am also looking for a supplier that warranties their product for more than two weeks. I will probably not purchase any more supplies from anyone who does not stand behind their products in the future. My stuff is not under warranty anymore. I only found this out when I went to the site to check after having all these issues. I know I should have looked in the beginning but I was going on the recommendation of a list member and seeing good FB on them here.

I will not make that mistake in the future. I don't have $$$ to throw away after 2 weeks or 30 days. I have been having problems with these batteries for some time now. I am sure that there is some stuff that you can buy that lasts better than this.

Thanks in advance for reading and any help you can give me!

I started charging my Ego batts on the PC, the wall charger just takes forever. Every once in a while I`ll wall charge one overnight just because I feel a slow charge once in a while is good for them. It sounds like your problems go beyond that though. Don`t know but I think mine only came with a 2 week warranty from cignot, but I know that they are genuine Joye. I know the others are clones, but I`m not sure about Joye.

Look in the seasonal section:

Celebrate the 4th w/a Dual eGo Kit for $57.23 Delivered!
or
Save up to 38% - Riva Kits $49.95 - KR808 Kits $24.95

If you did in fact get a bad Ego kit I wouldn`t let it stop you from ordering another. Too many people have had good luck with them, myself included. I`ve had mine over a month, and have yet to see a drop off in battery production, and it gets used!

If I had to spend $50 for a new dual kit a month and another $50 in juice i`d still be happy as heck, although I`m sure that`s easy for me to say. You could step up to a pricey mod and just be done with it as well. I dunno, hang in there and be grateful you didn`t spend $150+ for something at a mall, a lot of people started that way.

1st complaint I`ve heard with an Ego though really. Maybe you just got a lemon?

Some of the Ego chargers left the factory in a sad state - if you open it up and the screws are 'short' (or broken off) that would be your issue (usually - its the only thing Ive heard negative about the ego charger). IF thats your issue then duct tape the case (the plastic halves that make up the main body of hte charger) tight - that should fix it.
Check also if the connector might be loose - if it is, duct tape that as well.

Sounds like a bad charger. The fast charger doesn't cost much and I would buy one of those and give the batteries another try.

Also, have you left the batt on the charger overnight or do you take it off when the light turns green? I ask because mine don't seem to be fully charged unless I leave it overnight. I hope you find a solution.

My recommendation if you are getting a different device is to check into the lazers from Ikenvape.com. The batts for those last me at least 5 hours and when I have to replace them they are only 5.00 or less. Unfortunately, Ikenvape is closed right now for vacation.

Good luck with it whatever you decide to try.

Elendil--I understand that there are clones if that is what you were referring to but mine was supposed to be an actual Joye Ego kit. So it should have been good. I have heard all sorts of good things about this before I purchased it. Thanks for the heads up on the warranty at Janty. I will take a look at them tomorrow.
RatRacer--I don't have a clue what a multi meter is but hubby does and he said he would check my things out for me later tonight. Thanks
Zbasspro--I have found a lot of issues with the charger since I have researched this problem. What gets me is that is not a "new" thing and when I first started having a problem my supplier should have been aware of this and maybe replaced it then due to this. Oh well hind sight is 20/20 Thanks for the info on the other kits. I will check them out. I don't know if I got a lemon or what but I am frustrated trying to figure it out. I mean its not like we can go around the corner and get a new one if it doesn't work right. As far as trusting another one, they may be the next best thing since sliced bread but my hard earned money won't be spent on it again in the near future, sorry. Just like I won't use that supplier again. I value good products and good service. I also value people who stand behind their products. I have been burned once, it won't happen again whether it was a fluke or not.
CaptnJay--I did read about the charger issue. I have tried squeezing the charger together. I did not duct tape it though. I will try that next.
Rosesense--Yes I have been leaving the battery on the charger for the night while I sleep. I leave one on until I need to use it so it does not lose its charge. I thougth they might be losing their charge before so I started leaving them on after that.

starchild, i'm so sorry you are having trouble. I know what it's like to lose money on equipment so quickly.

hopefully it's the charger and a quick charger will fix the problem. I got a usb universal charger from health cabin that never charges anything a few weeks ago. it's pretty worthless lol. the cheap chargers are a problem. the only good one I have is a screw in one. Never fails. Those cheap push pin ones are crap.

does anyone have an extra known good charger they can send her? I'd send you one in a heartbeat because i really feel for you, if mine weren't crap.

if you're looking for a warranty and have something else to vape in the meantime, Heaven-Gifts has a 6month warranty on their kit.

Matte black Joye eGo start kit with 2 atomziers - Starter kits - Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier

if you do air mail shipping it takes about 3 weeks or less and only cost around $6. for a kit. EMS is $15 shipping. Air mail is fine and it has a tracking #.

Or i'd go with Janty for their warranty. I don't know how much they charge.

batteries are hell with these ecigs. maybe you could get a box mod off the classified section on here pretty cheap ($25-35) and some real batteries.

vaping is a never ending process of reliable equipment and i think we all have been there with the frustration.

here you go. $35. these are good. they should sell batteries for it and a charger on their site:

    The Cloud 3.7v Stomp Box

I think everyone should have at least one box mod for backup. you can fix them with stuff from radio shack and stock up on batteries for about $6. for 2 from dealextreme.com (free shipping)

I'd also say that to maybe narrow down if it is the charger....if you have a 510 mains charger and some adapters you can possibly try and chage it that way (it'll take freaking forever though, like 6 hours) but it will narrow down if that's your problem before you go spending much more money ...and if it is the charger then you can worry about replacing it..... they have charging adapters but I've makeshifted using a 510 battery to 901 atty adapter and a 901 battery to 510 atty adapter....

Seems like you've had the issue from day one (i looked at your posts)...

Does sound like you got a crappy charger.

I'd call and talk to whoever sold it to you and offer up your posts as proof -
If they don't support you, I'd flame them right here... and if they do support you, you should buy another battery or two, a couple of atomizers and another charger from them so you have backup.

Didn't see in any of your posts but are you using autos or manual?

None of this stuff lasts forever.

I feel really bad about your problems since I was the one who more or less got you in to vaping and recommended the supplier. I'm shocked that you haven't gotten any help from them as they've always been great with me and others replacing faulty equipment. I had an Ego button sticking issue and they had a new replacement in the mail within hours after I let them know. I've never seen a negative report on this company so I can't understand why you haven't at least received a new charger to see if that's your issue. I'm so sorry you've had to deal with all of these frustrations.
