VannyPak! that is great! I have no problem with a policy that has a place to vape. It is amazing to me that they even have designated smoking areas. Disney does not even sell alcohol in their park. You have to go to Epcott for that :) Or Universal.

Thank you! I love to go to Disney! Granted I'm able to go a while without vaping but when you're on vacation and your family is driving you crazy sometimes you just need too. I just mentioned that I had quit smoking and wouldn't like to be around smokers where I might be exposed to second hand smoke. After almost a year of vaping I literally get sick to my stomach when I'm around cigarette smoke.

I honestly think if we, as vapers, are more considerate and willing to compromise it might become even more mainstream than it is right now. It's all about educating the public.

I agree with you about being considerate. With the exception of in my house or car, where I did not smoke, I only vape where smoking is permitted. For the most part I am a home body. The last place probably vaped in public (outside of my car) was my son's graduation. The graduation was held at the civic center.
Afterwards while I was waiting for hubby to bring the car. I did vape. I was not concerned since so many people walking by me were smoking.

I agree with the idea of having an area for just vapers but I seriously doubt it would happen. I asked for the same at work (they changed their tobacco policy), you aren't allowed to smoke in the parking lot (huge parking lot , it's a corporate campus) and they included ecigarettes in if. You are supposed to have your cigarette out out or ecig turned off before you exit your vehicle and can only smoke / vape on the smoking patio. Sucks to have to be surrounded by 30+ people at a time who are smoking when you made the choice to quit. Always seem to get ashes flicked on me too lol.

If 1 person wants to Change a Policy, the Chances of it happening are About Zero.

If a Handful of people want a Change, well, the changes get a Little Better. But are still are Not Great.

But if a Large Crowd of People want a Change, then Policy Makers start to take Notice.

It would be Very Easy for Disneyland to have a Vaping Only designated area. And e-Cigarette users would probably Applaud their Change in Policy. But Disneyland Isn't reading this Thread. So how many people have they been Contacted by requesting a Vaping Only Area? 1? 2~3? A Handful?

It's Hard to Effect Policy Change when the Only Feedback is in the Form of a Post on the ECF.

If you Want Disneyland (or Anyone else for that matter) to consider Changing there Policy, get every person you know to Write Disneyland and Politely tell them what you Want.

Exactly. I would rather contact them and let them know my concern than complaining about it and doing nothing. I can only set the example and hope others follow.

I just got back from Disney World and myself and my wife just stealth vaped. We didn't have any problems. There was only one time when we were leaving and literally 20 feet from the exit and quit trying to hide it where a "cast member" simply asked us to keep them in the smoking section. He was very nice about it and admitted that he knew the difference, but simply advised that it was policy.

It's really not that hard to stealth and it worked out great for us. Use a PG base and hold it a couple of extra seconds. Exhale into your sleeve. No big deal...

This is, of coarse, a personal opinion.. But I feel that banning ecig smokers to a smoking area is slightly counterproductive. A lot of people, myself included, started vaping to quit smoking. I personally get sick every time I smell/ inhale cigarette smoke, so being pushed into an area full of cigarettes is almost cruel. I'm not trying to complain, it's my view.

Thanks for reading =)

Right On VannyPak.

Here is another Hot Tip if you want Someone to do Something for you.

Do Their Job for Them.

Download a Map of the Park, Pick a Out of the Way Spot, Draw a Red Circle around it, and then ask Disneyland to put a Couple of Benches and a Sign that Says "e-Cigarette Use Only - No Smoking".

Then include some Text about how having a Vaping Only Spot would Greatly Reduce Incidents of people using e-Cigarettes where Disneyland doesn't want them Used. And Appeases and Rewards those who have Given Up Smoking using an e-Cigarette.

People are Inherently Lazy. Many Times if you do the Legwork for them, your chances of Success go Way Up.

BTW - When Contacting Disneyland with your Vaping Only Location, Including something like the Drexel Study showing that 2nd Hand Vapor pose No Real Risk to people is also a Good Call.

Yeah, this has been their policy for awhile, they just updated it. I have a few friends that work there and I asked them about it as I'm taking a trip down there in February with my kids(not that I plan on vaping much) and one of them is a vapor and he doesn't like it and hopes they put in vaping spots as well, but it is what it is. I won't do anything that will come off as being disrespectful or a jerk in the park as it is their establishment and they have the right to make their rules(as long as they are legal) on their grounds.

I also plan on staying away from the smokers as much as a I can while following the rules, because, I do feel it's counterproductive, but again, their establishment.

Yeah... All True.

But think of the Precedent of getting a High Profile Entity like Disneyland to include a Vaping Only area on their Property? And the kind of Positive Story this would make in the Media.

Stealth Vaping works when No One Gets Caught. Or Abuses it. But we Know that People will get Caught. And we know that a Small Fraction will Abuse it.

Getting Disneyland turned on to a Vaping Only Area is a Win For Vapers. And Really, a Win for Disneyland Also.

BTW - What the Heck are you doing Outside the OUTSIDE? LOL

Good to see you.

Remember the last time I smoked at an airport. I think it was O'Hare. A tiny glass walled room with an extractor fan so huge and loud it made your teeth rattle. Right off a main drag so the normal people could stare at you as they walked past. But I still crowded in there with 20 other miserable guilty looking people for my fix. Didn't even enjoy it. Now I think I would rather just wait for a vape. An outdoor vaping area might be cool though.

Actually I would rather go hang out in the glass walled room than spend the day at Disney World.

These policies have been and I suspect will continue to be the norm. They have not really impacted me that greatly. Whenever I go to an amusement park or other large public area (the National Mall or Bourbon St for example) I always leave my mods at home and will generally buy a disposable, which is so easy to stealth vape. I still inhale nicotine, I'm not going to be terribly upset by that being held to similar rules about public use as smoking (regulation should obviously be different).
