Yeah vaping in the resort room at WDW has to be the coolest. Last time I was there, I had to go downstairs in a half-zombified sleep state to smoke analogs at the ashtray/designated area.
This is a major factor for why I decided to get on the E-Cig bandwagon.

I used to go to WDW all the time in the late 90's and early 2000's when I had a great job and could afford it. Then the IT bottom dropped out (for me) in 2002 and my last trip was one last harrah at a Value resort in 2003. I haven't been back since but the dreams of going back kept the depression at bay until I heard last year (or the year before?) that all WDW resort rooms were going smoke-free.

Thus endeth the dream.:(

If I went back now, I'd have to stay offsite because I couldn't see myself going down to the designated smoking areas in my bathrobe at 11:00 at night. I liked being able to have that one last cigarette, close the book (or shut off the TV), then turn off the light and go to sleep.

vaping has rejuvinated the dream again. For that, I'm grateful.

Have a great time on your trip! And thanks to all the rest of you guys for your reports on vaping at WDW!

Thats pretty neat.
With all the people I see walking away with little bags at the SE kiosks, I still have yet to see anyone vaping in public...

...I'm way more comfortable doing it now, and have rarely even been approached by anyone.

Hell, I'm still jacked that I can smoke inside the house!

We were at Disney World last year in October. I was walking through Epcot, walking with a purpose actually looking for a men's room after two large coffee's. Anyway, I had a white with tan tip V4L rig in my hand, I was just carrying it, not using it. I passed one of the mousketeers who was manning a trash and trinket booth. She yells at me as I pass by, 'HEY... you can't smoke that here'. Pretty magical way of interacting with a guest, don't you think. I turned and opened my hand showing it to her and said, 'It's not a cigarette'. Her response was a simple Oh... and she turned away. Now, I didn't take any particular satisfaction away from this encounter but I did find it pretty odd. We've been making a yearly trek to MouseWorld for close to 25 years and I gotta say that it's pretty rare that you'll see a cast member being rude to a guest. I'm glad I wasn't actually sneaking the real thing.

I just returned from WDW a few weeks ago and the number of smoking designated areas are less now and they have put character autographs in some of those areas which really drives home the point. And if you're in that area you're used to using and smoke, the character handler will approach you - I'm assuming that's a 'new policy' to where everyone now is a cignazi.

However, I was vaping in the open in Epcot/France and a 'castmember' approached me and said no smoking here. I said, I'm not smoking and showed him the Tornado and he said "Oh, ok, no problem, no problem, we're seeing more and more of those lately."

Now I don't know if it's Disney policy - unlike some here I wasn't going to bring up the subject to 'management' ;-) and it may be just this one person but there was one other case where I was 'caught' and basically the same thing except just an 'Oh, ok' and he proceeded on. I still 'vape responsibly' - ie. avoided kids and crowds and wasn't in your face and used smoking designated areas if there was one nearby. I know them all know ;-)

I could have sold 30 kits while I was there and probably sold a few anyway - "Cignot.com - cig.... not.... get it? Get the no box deal." "Ok thanks!!!" I emailed Vicky/Terri for picking such a good name to remember. One person said - 'don't tell me any more names .... cig not dot com... got it - thanks!'. lol

This, after I ran out of the business cards - cignot, widowsbeadworks, nhaler, TW, heaven gifts, etc. etc., handed out that I had taken along for just that purpose.

Vaping in the rooms was great! Didn't vape in any restaurants.

Had terrible weather but was vaping under the poncho alot. lol

I am heading to Disney World in the near future and I was wondering if I would be able to vape or if I would have to go to designated smoking areas.

I was sort of hoping to be able to vape as I wished and blow it inside of a very loose Micky shirt, so no one sees anything. LOL

One thing that is great... it feels SO good to go some place and not worry about a hotel that allows smoking anymore! Heck, in Disney World, you can't even smoke outside on your own balcony! Unreal.

So glad I don't have to worry about that anyore. ;)

Why the heck should YOU, a NON-SMOKER have to vape in a smoking area? Personally, I vape so I can enjoy the health benefits. If I wanted to sit around a bunch of cigerette smokers I wouldn't have made the switch.

Just for me, I haven't bought into the junk science of the gov't regarding second hand smoke. The same junk science they will use against vaping.

And even more important, I LIKE hanging around individualistic people that smoke that don't take every gov't warnings as gospel like some, who as soon as they are able to quit smoking turn into some anti-cigarette nazis who think they know what's best for everyone else, like every other idiot "convert" whether it's drugs, alcohol, Tiger Woods types that think, after being shamed into changing their behavior, that they somehow think that they now have the knowledge to teach others about addiction. Screw all of those hypocrite c-------s.

+1 Kent lol. At least if they are smoking you know they haven't drunk ALL the Koolaid

You got it Mel! I want more smokers and more vapers that are still have the smoker mentality and spirit. Without diminishing the horror of the holocaust, but only as an analogy of how certain politics target certain groups to gain political power, look at smokers as the Jews of the mid 1930's in Germany, and look at the people that attack smokers and big tobacco rather than the gov't that has the power, as the enablers that allow it to happen.
