Dissatisfied with Blucigs, considering change to 510? Needing general advice!

Hey thanks NW83. I haven't made it over to V4L yet so one more place to check out. I just got the pumpking pie juice from Drew - it's very good. BTW I fired up a Riskee carto from puresmoker today - best so far.

I'm pretty sure that riskee flavor is another RY4 variant, definitely a good one. 555 is alright too, im not into sweet tobacco things really but it's got like a nutty undertone which blends nicely. My favorite at the moment is peach cobbler from V4L, it's insanely good, and i don't even like peach cobbler in real life lol.

The thing i like about the cartos is you can just fill your own with blanks or refill old ones whenever you want and put em aside, you don't have to carry around bottles of juice with you or have to mess with stuff unexpectedly like i see with 510 users... "oh crap my atomizer is drying up" or "hold up,this needs more juice in it"..... some people enjoy fiddling with all that stuff, but not me i like to keep it simple as possible :D

Yes it is. I have the juice and I'm liking the carto better on this one.

I know what you mean - I don't like pear, blueberries and raspberries and yet the juice is good. I think I don't like the textures which of course are non-existent in the juice. :)

I understand that but again, unless DV starts making cartomizers I'll be mainly vaping the 510 on the bartleby and using cartomizers for certain situations.

Howdy y'all!

Just posting back here. I got my KR808D-1 in the mail today, and I'm just checking in. After some impressively-prompt service by Vaporkings (I placed my order Sunday morning, received it Wednesday), I've just been thoroughly impressed by the whole experience. It's been nothing like my blu, I just screwed a cartomizer in and have been good since. No mess, tinkering or frustration. This is what I was expecting from e-cigs.

I've also been extremely satisfied by the vapor and throat hit. I read somewhere that the model lacks vapor compared to others... This might be the case, but mine seems to be putting out the similar amount to an analog, so I don't see any problem. I still plan on buying some 510 Atomizers when I've got some more cash... But I will say that, after my blu fiasco, I was tempted to go back to analog smoking. Not anymore. This is a very exciting development for me. Cheers!

I do actually have a question, however. I've been vaping pretty heavy, and I've started to notice a bit of a hissing noise as I draw on it. It's not effecting vapor production or flavor too much, so I figure it can't be a big problem... But I'm just wondering if this is normal? I bought liquid and plan to refill my carts, so I'm just wondering if the hissing might be my filling getting burned (which I would obviously like to avoid). Thoughts?

I also love my KR808d-1. As for the hissing noise it is either one of 2 things (both normal). It is either the fluid being vaporized (too me this is more of a crackling noise) or it is due to the air holes. If you notice, where the cart attaches to the battery there are little slits to increase the air flow and hence, you hear the hissing sound. Some people do not like the air holes because it produces an “easy draw”; however, I do not mind it at all. Hope this answers your questions.

I'm glad you went with my recommendation, i knew you'd like it :D

The hissing noise is just air that's nothing to worry about it's normal, try screwing the cart a bit looser or tighter and it might change the sound a bit.

When you notice the flavor wearing thin when you hit it, top it up if you wanna keep it going, if you wanna refill the cart totally, you'll know its getting empty when you start tasting the burnt taste or it's getting harder to get a hit from it, after you've been using them for a few weeks you just know when it's time to do a refill or top up, you'll get used to it ;)

I don't think the KR808 wil ever become my main vape, but it most certainly does have it's place/purpose which seems to vary among users. For me, I LOVE it for flavors that tend to stick to an atty. Like Menthol or Clove, etc.

This is where cartomizers work for me. I no longer have to keep track of dedicated atomizers. When the mood hits for one for those "sticky" flavors, I load up a cart and vape away.

Works for me.
