Just made my first batch of flavor free ejuice. I'm starting off slow because there's so much to learn. So my first batch is a 70/30 PG/VG ratio. No flavor, no nic.

My measurements must have been off because I keep getting try hits on my atty, probably due to the thickness of the VG. I've read about using distilled water or vodka to thin it out a bit, but I'm not sure if one really makes a difference over the other.

Any thoughts?

distilled water.
start at about 2 to 3% by volume.
check your wicks and insure they are wicking properly.
add 1 or 2 % water until your happy.

With pg being 70%, I wouldn't think it would need to be thinned. I happen to use Everclear and flavored Vodka in many of my recipes. I make my own menthol with 50/50 Everclear and menthol crystals, so vaping alcohol is no issue as far as I am concerned. Not sure which atty you are using, but it is possible there is a problem there. I would replace the coil to make sure it is not a "dud" and go from there. Good luck to you and have fun.
