I use the liquinator tank on my pv. I made an ejuice using TPA ripe banana, TPA banana cream, and Lorann's natural banana flavorings, and I added a bit of EZ-Sweetz sucrose. It is yummy...

Well, it cracked 2 of my liquinator tanks, which are made from polycarbonate. I imagine the same thing would happen with a ce2. I know I should not use acidic, sour, or cinnamon flavors in my tanks, but I figured that these banana flavorings would be safe. Apparently not.

Does anyone have any idea which flavoring could be the problem? I was thinking maybe the banana from Lorann's natural line may have some kind of acid in it.

Oh, but the performance of these tanks is beyond compare to anything else I've tried. Vaporescence replaced both cracked tubes AND sent me a 30ml of their banana nilla pudding e juice to try at no charge. They also said that they make their juices with FlavourArt flavorings and have not had any trouble at all.

That's why I haven't bought any of those devices.
Banana cracked it? Sheesh.:(

Sorry for your troubles.

Ingredient list for Natural Banana Flavoring by LorAnn; (from ecig express website) http://www.ecigexpress.com/flavoring-lorann-naturals-c-16_37/banana-natural-p-655
Contains: vegetable glycerin, grain alcohol, water, natural flavors.

TPA Banana Creme; (from TPA website)
Ingredients:Natural & Artificial Flavor, Propylene Glycol

TPA Ripe Banana; (from TPA website)
Ingredients: Natural and Artifical Flavors, Propylene Glycol, water

Think it could be caused by the grain alcohol in the Natural Banana Flavorings or something that falls under "Natural & Artificial Flavor"? I'm also surprised that banana flavoring would do this, seems like a mild enough flavor.

I don't think that grain alcohol would do it. PGA, is pure grain alcohol, commonly used by many DIY'ers to dilute thick juices and add throat hit. I think am going to contact Linda at TPA, and ask her if there is any acid in her flavors, although I doubt it. The common things in juice that crack tanks and ce2's are malic acid, citrus acids, and the certain type cinnamon like in "atomic cinnamon" flavors.

My suspicion is that there is some type of acid in the Lorann Natural Banana. I don't think I could get ahols of anyone to confirm that.

Awesome, thanks for that! Have you has any problem with the TPA banana cream or the Lorann's natural banana? May be we could start a list of flavors that have cracked tanks and/or clearos. It sure would be helpful to me. I'm keeping a list...

It's not the loranns. Its the ripe banana from TPA. I've had it crack my clearos, along with a few other flavors (cherry blossom, honeysuckle, and maraschino cherry)
They also don't mix well with VG for some reason.
I've had thm ruin my acrylic driptips as well when I tried these in a atty.

That's it, though. natural flavorings can mean anything. The ingredients that crack tubes are not bad for us for any reason, just bad for tubes.

I have used that LorAnn's Natural Banana for more than a year. On mine the ingredients say VG and natural flavorings...oh and it's kosher lol. I don't think that would crack polycarb. Hope you find the culprit.

It mixed fine for me in a 50pg/50vg base, funny. I started a list of juice that crack tubes here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ors-crack-tanks-cesd-clearos.html#post4013415. Please add your experiences. I will continue to compile them in a list.

I've had no problem with the TPA banana cream or lorann natural banana.
No idea what are in the ones that crack the plastic .
The only common element I have found is the ones that will crack my clearos won't mix with VG. It separates like its oil and water, so possibly a oil causing it?
