Yeah I got a couple of a 510 connectors for the top of the tank-o-meter, to check voltage underload.
So you could battle your friends on who has the lowest voltage drop!

I'll get to it one day.

I had made a tankometer from a carto tank a while back. But after some misfortune, I no longer have it. I have been looking for another cartotank to use. Some of the cartotanks I've seen cost too much to use as a meter. I have a small project box I'm gonna use. But the look of the tankometer is very nice.

Thanks for posting this Rice. I already have a tinted DCT that I don't use anymore as it leaks and some old cartos and an old female 510 adapter from an old lavatube. So I just need to get the meter. I'll post pics of the process and finished product when I get it. I bought 2 of them and have 3 tanks I don't use. I can make one that can be an in-line meter and one just to check voltages with.

Width wise, the fast tech voltmeter will fit the tank; the voltmeter is 15 mm wide, and the tank is 20 mm wide. The length is what concerns me. The voltmeter is 31 mm long, and the carto-tank is 73.6 mm long. However, I don't know if that 73.6 mm includes the drip tip and 510 connection that is protruding from the bottom of the tank.

Is 20mm the outer or inner diameter of the tank? Remember that the meter is going INSIDE, so the internal diameter is the relevant measurement. Also, keep in mind that you will need to allow for the fact that you're putting a box shape into a tube--your internal diameter needs to be bigger than the width of the meter.

I only mention this because I met with some disappointment when I found that my meter would not fit into the carto tank I'd planned on using...

As far as the length of the tank goes, as long as its meant for dual coil cartos, I think you'll be good :)

I got my meter and finished it finally. I used an old DCT with the metal end caps. I actually ground them down almost to the o-rings. I also ground off the ears of the meter. I used an old CE2 style carto. Cut it down so it is only as long as the end cap it goes in. Then I used a female 510 from an old lavatube. I cut the wires on the meter to the length needed to make it from the meter to the male 510 carto. Then used the extra wire to run it from the male 510 to the female 510 so it can also be used as an in-line meter too. I tested it on my 650 mah ego. One picture is without an atty and the other is with a 2.0 ohm RDA. Once I got it all together and working I glued it all together.
