DIY custom e-liquid for Dummies- reference sheet
(Please check my homework)

As a few others have stated, I too am having problems getting jaxx hackometer to come up.( operates error? prolly..::smile)...I got one glimpse before it poofed! A tease! lol...So my goal here is to make myself and others included a quick reference sheet.. With lots of info that I've seen on many different threads.. I have printed off tons of stuff and I think I have it down..However, dealing with nicotine, I think it imperative I check with the professionals.
VG=vegetable glycerin...PG=propylene glycol >> NOTE: VG is sweeter in taste. It also gives your vapor a fullness and weight. However, some people do not tolerate it well at high volumes ( say more than 50%) some not at all..Same with PG, some do not tolerate it well in ^ doses, if at all..(most commercial e-liquid have a base of PG)..So test them and find what works best for you.. ( Both can also be gotten at juicyliquid listed below)
Flavorings> lorannoils.com" (under gourmet.."Super strength flavors" - only water soluble, no oils, no sugar, no colorings)...Distilled Water-optional (most any drug store)..You will need a few syringes, plastic dropper bottles, maybe a few eyedroppers or pippets > can be gotten at juicyliquid ..There are lots of things you could buy but, this should be a good start...( Keep e-liquids in a cool,dry, dark place)

If someones formula is in %'s, just convert to ml > 30%= 3ml ( Makes 1ml sample)
2 drops distilled water
2-2.5 drops flavoring (depending on stngth of flavor)
4 drops E-liquid
12 drops VG
\/
(or 6 drops VG+6 drops PG)

(Makes 5ml) 0.5ml distilled water
0.5-1ml flavoring
1ml E-liquid
3ml VG
(or 1.5 drops VG=1.5 drops)

(Makes 10 ml) 1ml distilled water
1-1.5ml flavoring
2ml E-liquid
6ml VG
\/
(or 3ml VG+3ml PG)Double these #'s for 20 ml and so on (for the good recipies)

(Basic recipe for 0 nicotine-5ml) 0.5ml distilled water
0.5 Flavoring (increase as needed, slowly)
4ml VG
\/
(or variation of VG to PG)

Double the #'s in a recipe for 20 ml and so on (for the good recipies)

There are many variations in formulas. First one I learned was watching Ritas video, so easy> 50% E-liquid + 50% VG + flavor to taste (slowly)- Doing this you are cutting down any mg strength in half ( 24 mg to a 12 mg).. You automatically double the amount of your commercial bought e- liquid. As someone said," Its like buy one get one for free"= I knew I could do that one! lol..Ty Rita!...

Now, here's the part I'm not sure i quite get (cutting strength) I've read and reread how to do this lolAnd some of you lil math wizards, omg (1 3/4 + pie+ the square root of= lmao!) Hence the DIY for dummies.Ok, here goes, I'm about to show my ignorance lol..But hey, I aint proud lol I need to know in laymen terms, as do many others..

Thank you for whoever posted this below..
FORMULA- HOW TO CUT 36 MG NIC DOWN ( use this one)
(Original post= smart math)
2ml 36+1ml 0=24mg
1.5ml 36+1.5 0=18mg
1ml 36+2.5ml 0=6mg

(DIY for Dummies, translation)
2ml 36mg+1ml VG= 24 mg
1.5ml 36mg+1.5 VG=18mg
1ml 36 mg+2.5ml VG=6mg = a 3 ml sample ( double the ml's for a 6ml batch and so on)
( < the VG can be a combinatin of all ingredients- e-liquid as long as they = 1 ml)

Am I correct? Or incorrect on any of this? Thanks so much ::smile

Ok - so I'm new to increasing my eliquid and getting entirely lost.

If I don't want to go so far as "entirely making it from scratch," I've heard this: Buy a premade liquid, we'll use 15ml bottle of peach or whatever say it's 14mg nic strength. Like a bottle ready to use on delivery.

Now, I heard that if I buy bickford or lorannes water based flavors, I can simply do a 50/50 mix? Like, take my 15ml peach ready to go premade eliquid, put it in a bigger bottle, and then add 15ml of bickford or lorannes peace flavoring - and then have excellent eliquid with half the nicotine strength? Or am I way off?

I keep hearing references to PG/VG/or glycerine - but why do I need to add that in the mix, too? Is that what makes the vapor? I'm really looking for increasing volume and making sure it vapes well.

Is my 50/50 thing totally wrong? If anyone can PLEASE explain I'd MUCH appreciate it!!!!!!!!

Your math is correct, but results in a different sample size for each strength. This might be a simpler way to think about it:

Cutting 36mg liquid -

To get ->Use this much 36
24mg -> 2/3 (66%)
18mg -> 1/2 (50%)
12mg -> 1/3 (33%)
6mg -> 1/6 (16%)

Example: to make a 30ml batch of 24mg use 2/3 (20ml) 36mg

Awww Thank you bunches Jaaxx, i understand..Of course it could be cause im still up at 5 am and pretty loopy lol( insomnia bites) much appreciated ::smile...
Now call and tell them to hurry up and send you your syringe packet lol

oh Kleerp, dont do that... Loranns flavorings are highly concentrated and they are JUST to flavor your mix... VG and or PG is your base..Its what makes vapor ect... getting a 50/50 mix is pretty easy... Say you want 10 ml bottle of 36 mg cut e- liquid.. Youre right in that you would add 10 ml of your peach/premade then add 10 ml of VG and or PG = half the strength of your 24mg nicotine, which would be a 12 mg juice then...After you've done that..Then you add a few drops of your loranne flavorings to that ( test it, go slow... some of the lorann flavors are really strong k... let us know if you come up with some good flavor mixes...

Hi Kleerp, From all that I've read VG doesn not clog atmoizers, just be careful not to over drip on your atomizer.........> VG=vegetable glycerin...PG=propylene glycol >> NOTE: VG is sweeter in taste. ( Both can also be gotten at juicyliquid). There are other sources to purchase both.. But I listed juicyliquid because its all in one place with other supplies and we know it's the right kind. Hope this helps

P.S. VG does not really mean VEGETABLE glycerin. "VG" is a made-up marketing term, since very little glycerin/glycerine is produced from a vegetable base - it's mainly synthetic.

Glycerin costs roughly 1/2 what propylene glycol, but the pre-mixed liquids don't reflect this.

Here's the better joke: propylene glycol IS primarily obtained from a vegetable base these days.

So-o-oo:

VG = probaby synthetic
PG = probably organic

And the marketing team are giggling their way to the bank....

2 dumb questions from somebody who wants to get in the juice biz. Where do I get a decent deal on supplies in bulk? & why the hell does commercial juice seem to be base 8 on the strength (8,16,24,36 mg)???? Base 10 makes the math so much easier. 100mg/ml juice .01ml=1mg. I've been mixing mine to 20 or 30 mg just to save myself all the math headaches.
