I'm NOOB Myself and started DIY about 2 weeks ago or so. Here's what I do..and it's simple...for me, it works. I use RTSVapes site to order my Nic/PG the VG and flavorings. I had used Mt Vapor Baker for flavorings..they sell just the flavors there for super cheap...but they (to me) aren't concentrated enough...was having to use WAY too much flavorings to get a good taste. Anyhow...I get 36mg Nic PG based...then I get straight VG. I like my juice a bit thin...so I just go 70PG/30VG. I put about 65% of the Nic PG in my bottle, then add about 30% VG and the rest, flavors...of course you'll want your juices to steep...or at least I do, for about a week.

In the baking section at Walmart, they sell Flavors...very concentrated that is PG based (look on back of box to make sure) you can get all kinds of flavors from there...if you are into sweet/fruit flavors. For about 2 bucks a bottle.

It's much easier/cheaper to just go head first into DIY if you are wanting to save $$ VS. buying from Vendors to just make more batches of. You really should do LOTS of reading on all of this. You can save even more $$ if you get more Technical and get stronger Nic to make bigger batches. I was just wanting something simple and easy..

Good luck!!

Alright, my question is this though, I noticed the link went to fasttech to some liquids that were listed as "w/ tar"... uhm... aren't we trying to avoid tar? I'm still kinda new to this entire vaping thing, so hopefully someone knows better than me about this...

I believe those juices have the flavoring TA/ Tobacco Absolute, a derivative of tobacco. You'll either LOVE or HATE it. I used it in my tobacco recipes....there's the distilled version and the pure version- pure is almost like tar.

I am planning on diving into the DIY soon myself. I figure since I am finding I like just plain fruit flavors it shouldn't be tough to come up with something I like. I mean take peach. Probably just a matter of which flavoring, how much of that flavoring and do I need to sweeten it any. Shouldn't be too hard.

All my wife vapes is peach. I make hers at 80/20 pg/vg at about 8mg strength. I get the super concentrated peach flavoring from ecigexpress. it's a very good natural peach flavor. She says she likes it way better than what she was ordering. I make her 120ml at a time. We did a cost summary once and it was about $5.50 for 120 ml.

I have just started into DIY a few weeks ago and it was much simpler than I had envisioned. Just keep your numbers together. A virtually easy process is to get your PG/VG nic juice already pre-mixed. MyFreedomSmokes sells it that way in different nic levels for about $38 for 500ml. I also agree that MtBakerVapor's flavorings are diluted and need at least 30% which is on the high side and still not flavorful. Need to get concentrated flavoring and just add it. Having some unflavored PG/VG non nic is an advantage especially in the same ratio as you want. That's my :2c:

Well after a particularly nasty round of professional juices (12 + hours and I still can't get the foul taste out of my mouth), I finally decided that the hunt for juices I like is ridiculous and ordered a DIY starter kit. At least my failures won't be nearly as expensive. :p

I mix up my DIY base in 30ml bottles, and do 5 at a time... basically I make a 25ml unflavored base with 5ml left to play with flavorings and sweeteners and such. Once the base is done, all I have to do is grab a bottle and get creative.

For all the DIY'ers out there I'd be curious to know what methods are being used to ensure uniform distribution of nicotine and flavor in such a viscous liquid. I mean, the mix is done in a large container then split into smaller ones - guess I'm worried about the possibility of ingredients settling and getting more or less in each smaller container.

As AttyPops , has stated . To save some real money , just DIY . There are plenty of vendors selling all the needed components . I do the DIY thing myself . And a 30ml. bottle costs me someting less than 1.00 . And I can add as much flavoring as I like . Now that I only do ) nic. it's going to be even cheaper . Good Luck .
