DIY E-Juice Problem, Nasal Burn, Need help

I'm trying to make my own juice and all of my test samples are burning my nasal passages. I am letting them steep for a day or more. I tried 5% flavor and still got a burn. I made some juice with 0 flavor and there was 0 burn, but as soon as I put in flavor there is a irritating burn in my nasal passages. I am using precise measurements with juice me up calc. 50/50 blend with 12%nic. My flavors are Lorann and The Flavor Apprentice through Wizard Labs. Please advise

I have been using a "cafe' crush". Taste like mocha, with a 50pg/50vg mix and 12%nic. I tried micing just pg,vg,and nic and got NO burning in my nose but when i added the flavor, BAM, it was there again. It was that way with all of the flavors. I started off at 15% flavor and dropped to 5%. I could barely taste it and I got a small nasal burn. At 15% I cant stand to vape it because it is so intense.

Are your flavors alcohol based? It should say on the bottle or manufacturer's website. If they are, let them sit in a warm place with the cap off for at least 24 hours. You might also try adding some kind of "cream" flavoring to help smooth them out. Many people like Bavarian Creme, Sweet Cream, Vanilla Custard, etc. A touch of menthol &/or koolada might help.

First I'd like to clarify. You state "12%nic". Do you mean 12mg/ml? If you mean 12%, wouldn't that correlate to 120mg/ml?

This seems like a strange occurrence if others juices don't bother you, but yours do? I've read that you have mixed just PG, VG, and nic. Have you tried just the PG/VG and 1 flavor test bottles to see if it's all the flavors or just one in particular your sinuses are objecting too?

To Clarify, I have a bottle of nic sol of 100mg/ml with PG base. I used the "E-Juice Me Up" calculator to get a 12% nic. with a 50pg/50vg end result. I was entering 15% for flavor, which all have been PG base and I went with that percentage because I saw a lot of videos with that percentage and a lot of recipes had that percentage. And, it was ALL of the flavors. Any store bought juice does not give me that burn, only the ones that i am trying to make. The store bought juices are 50/50.

When I enter my calculations in the E-Juice Calculator, this is what I am entering and getting as a result.....
Nic Strength-PG 100%-VG 0%-100mg ( I have a 250ml bottle of 100mg/ml)
Target Nic Strength-12mg
Amount To Make-5ml
Water/vod/pga-0%
Flavor 1(only one, for now)-PG 100%-10%(on the bottle it reads "PG")
Nic Juice =0.6ml
PG=1.4ml
Vg=2.5ml
Flavor 1=0.5ml
I am very precise with my measurements, when I draw it up in the syringes. So it will be the same if I make a 30ml bottle.

sweet cream, mocha, cappucinno, pecan, almond amaretto,banana nut bread

I don't have any Lorann's flavors. I use TFA Mocha at 5% and it's perfect after it steeps for a couple days. Cappucino is probably just as potent if not more so than mocha. Sweet Cream is usually added to other flavors to smooth/sweeten/add body at 2-5% but up to 10% if used as a single flavor--Meow--lol. Banana Nut Bread says 5-7% and Almond Amaretto says 5-10% on my recommended dosage chart for TFA. There isn't a listing for Pecan so that must be a Lorann's flavor. I would definitely start with much lower percentages than 15%. I have only used TFA's Strawberry Ripe and Green Apple at that percentage. Strawberry Ripe = very good. Green Apple is only good immediately, aging makes it go funky. It will be the first of my DIY liquids that gets dumped. Peanut Butter is looking to be the second.

Another thing that has caused me to have a burning sensation is over-vaping while reading this forum usually or when driving because I don't keep myself hydrated well enough. It's easier to do now that the air is dryer and vaping just makes your airways dry out that much quicker.

ETA-I wanted to add a link to the TFA DIY sub-forum. This is where my reference chart for TFA percentages came from: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/336110-flavor-apprentice-flavoring-thread.html

And here is a TFA recipes only thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquid-recipes/343181-tpa-tfa-recipes-only.html
