DIY e-juice.

Has anyone looked into it here in the UK.

I have been having a look around and found several UK suppliers of what you need to DIY that would cost as little as £1.60 per 10ml (I found one that did 10ml for £1.16 I think but the site is shut as the guy is ill so I can't be sure)

Anyone else?

I was going to give it a try once,and i found out that you can buy vg from boots.so in theory if you dont mind vaping 100% vg,all you would need to get on top of that is the nicotine liquid.

It would work out dirt cheap,hope this helps.

That site looks quite promising, on rough figures it'll work out £0.85/10ml whereas premixed even with my cheapest vendor it's around £2. The calculator makes it look too easy!

Made my first batch this week, great first time results, if not exactly adventurous.
List of what I used and where I got it from based on trawling ECF and picking up recommends on UK DIY suppliers.

£5.49. P.G. 200ml cig-eliquid / E cigarette Top quality e-liquid base for DIY mixing. Top guy, great price, quality product....currently off with Flu!
£16.49 52mg Nic/PG unflovoured mix cig-eliquid / E cigarette Top quality e-liquid base for DIY mixing.
£4.99 Hansen RY4 20mg Flavouring cig-eliquid / E cigarette Top quality e-liquid base for DIY mixing

Judging from my first 5ml 8mg nic sample, the above Nic, VG and Flavour ingredients are going to last me at least a year!

Basic Kit:
£3-5.00 Liberty Flights Bottles, Pipettes & Syringes
3ml Syringe for small accurate measures of 5ml DIY samples
14 + 16 Gauge blunt needles
5ml Syringe for 10ml DIY
10ml+ Syringe for bigger DIY batches
10ml Bottles or use empty juice bottles
Safety Gloves for NIC handling (check which best) I already had some

I need to get off my .... and order something. Just wanted to research as best I could before committing.

Apart from the VG from Boots and the quantities you ordered my final list is near identical. Great minds or fools seldom?

My list and it's all from Cig-eliquid (as soon as he's better)

52mg base. 266ml. £36.98.
PG. 250ml. £5.49.
Flavour. 50ml. £11.50.
£53.97 per 556ml = £0.98 per 10ml. Or unflavoured £42.47 per 516ml = £0.82 per 10ml.

Did you buy from Boots store? I tried to order the VG online and it asked for a prescription?

Neil -- Got mine from Boots store. Made sure I coughed loudly all the way to the self service till, no one bothered me.

Judging by your list your stocking up for the EU ban!

BTW, beware handling Cig-eliquid's NIC mix, he fills the bottle right to the brim! Damn near fainted when I popped the cap off.

Now I've popped the cherry, going to get in a couple of flavours to mix with the RY4 - heard that Belgian Waffle and Bavarian Cream (from Liberty Flights) is a good try.

I'll probably have a comprehensive list of 'what not to do' by the time you have your supplies. Just sticking with single flavour mixes to start with. Was about £55 for 100ml of 54mg nicotine, 100ml pg, 100ml vg, 5 different flavour concentrates and a heavy assortment of bottles, syringes etc.

The juice was about £34 all in. Got shed loads of different size bottles and syringes etc as well. Managed to get 10% off at postmodern and 17% at totally wicked. Made a bit of a difference. £0.83/10ml.

I am heading in a big way to Tinctures with Herbs, watch-out for my recipes. Might even post a link...Vaping on a whole new level.

Boots Glycerine based on what other vapers are saying and the advice given about Glycerine in general in these forums and other vaping forums suggest it's fine to use, the key is that it is labeled as B.P. grade 100% Glycerine. There are two sources for extracting Glycerine, animal and vegetable, if the possibility that Boots Glycerine contains Glycerine extracted from animal fat is an ethical problem for someone, then Dr Oetker glycerine which states V.G. is also an alternative from local suppliers if you don't want to buy online or need a quick restock.
