I'm considering trying to make my own juices. I've never done it before, but it greatly interests me. Can any DIY juice makers provide me with any recommendations, material shopping websites, etc. to get me on the right track? A list of materials needed, possibly where you picked those materials up at.

My biggest question is where do you get flavors, etc. I realize you need PG and VG, but where do you obtain nicotine and flavoring up. I'm not sure if there is a website that just sells all of these materials or if multiple vendors are needed.. Keep in mind ill be completely new to this so and details would be greatly appreciated.

I get nic from wizard labs, but they have been listing stuff as out of stock a lot recently, I think to keep up with orders. If you check them a few days in a row you will probably find them in stock at some point. I just checked, and they list some of their concentrations in certain sizes as 'in stock' at the moment.

I sometimes order some flavors from wizard labs, if I am placing a nic order and I see something in stock that I want to try. I think wizard labs only stocks small trial sizes, which is what you would want at this point. Otherwise I order the flavor from another vendor. One flavor vendor is TFA, I think that stands for the flavor apprentice. They are the same company as TPA, which is the perfumers apprentice. The flavors are listed separately from the scents.

Check out the DIY board here on ECF for more information.

I also get My stuff from Wizard Labs. Once while I was placing an order, a few things I wanted were labeled out of stock, I e-mailed them asking when they would be in stock and as it turned they were, and the web site had not been updated. I think since then the site is more accurate but it may be worth a shot to ask them.
You may also want to spend some time here DIY E-Liquid, all the info You will need is here, if it isn't just ask some one will respond.

For one, right here: https://www.mtbakervapor.com/.

That's where I've started out. You can get your unflavored nic juice here: http://www.mtbakervapor.com/236-ml-unflavored-nicotine-juice-usa-made/. And they have tons of flavors this way: http://www.mtbakervapor.com/electronic-cigarette-flavors.

I decided it was a good place to start playing around with flavors (and I'm saving money too actually). Pretty straightforward stuff. I got some syringes and some blunt "needle" type attachments to measure the flavors and squirt them in bottles. Figure later I can move up to more advanced "recipes" and such. For now, too busy to play around so mostly just do quick mixes of flavors I like and vape on. :)

Mount Baker sells kind of the "easy bake" version of DIY but since I'm just getting started on DIY liquids, it was the right level for me. Also, I played around with a spreadsheet thing and found I could save a ton of money doing my own little mixes with bulk nic liquid. The stuff out there mixed by experts can be really good but you pay for their expertise of course. And, right now, I'm pinching pennies hard enough to risk copper poisoning (I mean, if pennies had copper in them anymore).

Onestopdiyshop.com has the best CS that I've ever experinced from an online vendor (called me on a Saturday to confirm a question on my newbie order). They offer the flavor apprentice artisan kit that includes almost everything you need to get started.

So, with Mtbaker's 50/50 pg/vg blend of nic juice, would you only need to add flavors and vape???!!!

That's exactly what I'm doing. Though ya gotta shake real good if you want to use it right away. It's better left sitting overnight at least. I don't always wait though. Just shake like I'm having a seizure and vape it. :)

And I've found some flavors of theirs that are good as "all day" vapes. I like blueberry flavors of just about any kind. So I keep a simple blueberry mix around all the time. I'm actually vaping it right now. Fiddled with it a bit to hit the amount of flavor I liked then it's easy. Squirt about 2ml of flavor in 15ml bottle, fill rest of bottle with nic juice, shake like maniac. :)

When I have time (which ain't often right now), I play around with recipes. Which often ends in disaster. I do not have any "cooking" instincts. :)

Eventually, if I get the time and money, I'll play around with more advanced stuff like the folks in the DIY section do but for just starting out with mixing your own, Mount Baker's stuff is easy to work with.

This is sooooo much cheaper than paying $10 for a 17ml bottle at my local b&m! For $50 I can get all of my startup supplies and mix about 15 15ml bottles!

Oh yeah. I'm saving a truckload. I still want to buy some premade here and there but it'll be a "splurge" thing, not regular. Like buying ice cream. Can't eat it everyday but sometimes. :)

(Don't get me wrong, the expertly made stuff is better, definitely, than my clumsy "hand made" but until work picks back up, I gotta keep costs down across the board. So the expert mixed liquids are gonna have to be "special occasion" stuff for a while. :) )

Seems like Wizard labs has the cheapest price I could find on nicotine liquid. I'm starting out with The Flavor Apprentice flavors from the One Stop Diy Shop. If anyone knows of a cheaper/safer place to purchase nicotine solutions let me know.

Oh hey, they do have nice prices on nic juice. Bookmarking!

I found a few flavorings at Walmart, and Whole Foods. I'm looking for the flavorings listed in any recipes of interest at The Vape Book
found VG bottles (a little pricey, but right there available on the shelf) at both WalMart and Whole Foods.

BEWARE!! Some idiot on that site: The Vape Book has their recipes' Nic Juices' Nicotine concentrate listed as 20%!!! I don't think that's really what they mean... I think they meant 2%, or 20mg/mL for Nicotine concentration. REMEMBER 12mg Nicotine/mL of juice Equals 1.2% Nicotine in 100% of the Juice overall. I just don't want to post a link to a site where they've let a typo like that get printed.

Hi Gordy, I just started tinkering with DIY. I bought a 236ml bottle of 50/50PG-VG, 18mg nic. the bottle is pre mixed and 5 flavors from MT baker, from their DIY section. I bought 5 of their empty bottles. I laughed at my self, saying now your making Boot Leg juice. I did not expect much, but oh WOW. I bought wild cherry, black licorice,Sweet tart,USA blend, and Brandy. I used my syringe to measure. I put 5ml,of the 50/50mix,to 1ml of the flavor, shook and let sit a few days AWESOME. The Usa blend was the tabac flavor I have been searching for.wild cherry was a dream. I am a brandy drinker and theirs rocks. The black licorice, taste like what I get and pay 5 times as much for. I have yet to try the sweet tart,as I have a pre made, from a vendor. If you think about it all the juice you buy,is boot leg,or started that way. I did up my licorice and USAblend by.5ml,as I like lots of flavor. the cherry is strong,so the 5 to1ml was perfect. Happy vape trails to you:toast:
