DIY Flavor Extracts

So I posted here a while ago about some fruit extracts I was trying to make by letting fruit sit in the dark in vodka. However, I was told that you can only make your own extracts for things like tobacco and cinnamon because the sugar from the fruit would dissolve into the extract I was making and gunk up coils. So I was wondering, could you guys maybe tell me some of the things I CAN make make extracts from? Tips on how to go about it would also be appreciated.

ps-I wasn't sure if this went in the tobacco extraction thread since I'm not extracting tobacco, but if this should've been posted there, sorry ahead of time!

Yeah I'm really into rich creamy flavors like maple, caramel, etc. Anything like that I could do?

I have a batch of Tahitian Vanilla (Tahiti) Beans Extracting right now, it will probably be.


I also have a batch of Tea Extracting as well, but I'm afraid to try it.

I'm wondering about extractions too. I know a number of vendors do some of their own extractions so I don't think it's that impossible, including fruits. The ones I've been paying attention to use VG and not just as a base, but for the extraction too. This may take some research outside of the "ECF zone".
