Welcome , and the whole point / advantage of DIY , it let's you control what , and how much of whatever goes into your juice . I usually make small sample bottle of new juices , to see if I like them , before making larger batches . Mixing several flavors can actually produce some nice tasting juice . I recently added my own Caramel tobacco , to a pre-made ( strong ) RY4 , and the result was similar to RY4 , but abit more mellow , and more on the caramel side . Tastes pretty good . I also mixed a mocha ( chocolate ) and Kona coffee , with some mint flavorings . Very nice flavor . I even added just a dash of some menthol , to lighten it up some . Now I make it all the time , in larger batches . So as to the point here . Just experiment and have some fun . Some combos won't work out , but alot of them will . I don't worry about losing a small bottle of juice , I can't stand . Still saves money , over buying the ready made juices .

Cotton candy or Ethyl Maltol, Malic acid (tart and sour) Sucralose (sweetener) capsaicin(throat hit additive) vape wizard (mellow smooth) Koolada (Cool feeling) and menthol crystals are all useful mixing enhancers. There are others out there but depending on what sort of flavors you are mixing would call for a different type of enhancer. You can use them in anything but always start in small amounts and try them out. I personally love Koolada in almost everything. Gives that cool tingly sensation like sucking on a mint but without effecting the flavor. Others just aren't used as often, but have their uses.

There are many places to pick these up but I think ecigexpress carries most if not all of them in one place. What sort of flavors do you plan to diy? Maybe I can help you pick which enhancer to go for.

Thank you very much this has a good baseline for what each "flavor" adds. I have browsed e cig express thats where i first saw them...... I ordered several fruity and sweet flavors to try so I was trying to see a good one to add that may mellow the flavors together. Also whats the difference between adding menthol and koolada?

Koolada has no flavor nor smell. It simply gives that cool tingly sensation where as Menthol Crystals have a strong menthol smell and taste. You can make a straight e liquid with menthol crystals. You only want to use very little menthol as well. I usually dilute quite a bit of menthol crystals into a small 6 or 10ml bottle with PGA and only use a few drops of it to enhance liquid.

Koolada I'll use about 1.8ml in my 30ml bottles.

Fruit flavors with menthol are good, also with koolada. All depends on your taste preference, they each have a unique quality about them.

Thanks a ton for the help in clarifying this ..... one last question would be how much menthol crystals should be dissolved to make it fairly strong, was going to try myself but need to know on how much to buy initially?

As much as you can fit in if you like lol. YOu can super saturate it to where it won't dilute anymore but just be generous with the crystals. Add a fair amount, let it dissolve and then add more. Keep repeating to as much as you like.
