Nicotine basically comes in concentrated forms. For example 100mg or 18mg with a base of pg vg or both because pure nicotine is toxic poison.
The nicotine that you have is 18mg...
So naturally that means that it has been diluted and there is a base if pg vg or both that should be mentioned by the seller.
And in those calculators... The value of the pg or vg or both that is there in your 18mg nic base, is to be entered.

It seems you can't get PG only anymore in the UK and some sites have a Nicotine based strength but it only allows you to select either PG or VG. Not both

You'd need specific ratio of vg/pg to be able to be very accurate. But if you just need to add 1.03 grams of nic then it won't make a huge difference.

BUT... As you stated... You need 1.03grams of 100 mg liquid. And you have 18 mg. So clearly it's not gonna be even close to enough. You see what I'm saying here?

If you need 1grams(assuming) of 100mg nic then you'd need 5.5 grams of 18mg nic... But then your pg vg ratio in the nic base will start to make a difference... You see what I'm saying here?

I do get you yes, obviously things are just more difficult thanks to new legislations.

There is a calculator on make my vape which looks good but it doesn't give you the option to choose "both" when selecting nicotine base strength. I can choose 18mg but not VG/PG it's either PG or VG

Does it allow you to enter a value of vg or pg?

Ok so on that software where it says Nicotine Strength Juice I would just put 50% PG and 50% VG?

Yes, IF that's what your 18mg nic is. Then, just to the right, you enter it's nic %, in your case, 18. Just below that, enter the value that you want your final mix % to be.

Then start entering your flavors, name and percent. Click the calculate button to get the amount of each ingredient. Most flavors come in PG, so just leave the "flavor zero" box empty.

Perfect, can't wait to try it out.

One more thing though.. some of these recipes require you leave them to steep for a few weeks. I have some unicorn bottles that are plastic, are they ok to stay in these?

PE bottles are safe and don't leech according to what a very reliable friend told me.

The others leech into the liquid.
So are your bottles PE?
