DIY JUICE HELP S.o.S

I have never used custard flavoring in my diy juice but always wanted to,now I am learning how a lot of the savory and sweet flavors like some caramels, cupcake and cheese cake have Acetoin in them,Acetoin can under certain circumstances "catalyze" into containing minute traces of the molecule Diacetyl. My main question is does anyone know of a flavor company that carries some safer flavors?:?:

It's becoming known that there can be diacetyl in a lot of those flavorants IBlowClouds, even if the flavorant manufacturer claims it's not there. The only way to be reasonably sure it isn't is to stay away from the flavors you mention.

There are some flavor companies that test compounds themselves and those are the ones I would go with if I was concerned about it. I don't know who those companies are so you'll have to do some research yourself on it.

I'm vaping a couple of flavors right now that I'm sure contain diacetyl and it doesn't concern me. I've done my research and I'm convinced with the amount of diacetyl I'm inhaling it will take centuries before it affects me if it ever does. This works for me, with the research I've done and what I understood from that. YMMV and I suggest if you are not convinced this is safe then you avoid those flavors.

It is up to you.

For a bunch of people who used to burn tobacco with God knows what on it and inhale the smoke, which was known to cause cancer, some vapers are the most picky about what they inhale.

Not saying good or bad. Just saying there is nothing "worse" than a reformed whatever.:2cool:

Just because we feel that vaping is safer than smoking, there is no reason to stop doing due diligence and decide for ourselves what amount of risk is acceptable for us personally. IBlowClouds is asking all the right questions. I did the same thing and did the research myself.

If you think this is the wrong way to approach vaping, no problem, I'm not going to tell you you're doing it wrong and I'm not going to judge you. It's your vape and your life.

Your judgement in bold above is not helpful to the OP.

i diy and avoid dairy flavors, cinnamon, and now menthol so far. that is my choice. i also avoid pushing the power to extremes. whole other batch of potentially harmful chemicals produced at high temps. i just want to stay off analogs with as little nic as i can tolerate. if your into blowing clouds only, your priorities may differ. a high vg ratio in your mix will help accomplish that effort but flavor and throat hit may suffer. imo regardless of the flavor, the harm from vaping will never prove to compare to analogs. choice is a wonderful freedom we still have at this point. maybe, enjoy it while you still can is the right attitude. happy vaping clouds!

Ryedan and Jonhall2 get a load off this

Five of the volatile organic compounds detected by various studies in electronic cigarette vapor have also been found in human breath emissions (acetaldehyde, acetone, butanone, formaldehyde and isoprene).

Five of the VOCs found in e-cig vapor were also detected in trace amounts of outdoor air at three Los Angeles locations (Acetaldehyde, Benzene, Formaldehyde, m,p-Xyelene, and Toluene).

Five of the metals that have been detected in e-cig vapor were also found in comparable quantities in LA outdoor air (aluminum, iron, magnesium, potassium and sulfur).

This shows than much of what has been detected in passive vapor studies can be attributed to natural production by the human body.

Even though VOCs and metals have been found in e-cig vapor, human breath and outdoor air, all have been detected at levels well within regulatory and recommended exposure limits.
Pretty crazy all the nonsense they say thats in e cig are produced by the human body or in our air already!!!!!!
