All VG is not good at retaining flavor. Thats why most flavors has PG as base. I am a noob too but i never add water to my juices. Use a calculator and have at least 15% flavor ... otherwise wont taste anything.

Hi freeman2788,
Thanks for the tips. Appreciated.

I will get PG and try again tomorrow evening. lol
PG 2.0ML
VG 2.5ML
butterscotch 0.5ML
total = 5ml test
hope that make sense?

oh yes, will follow the proess of steeping 1-8 weeks and see how goes.

Besides PG/VG ratio s & flavour percentages, you need to know whether the flavour is good to begin with. Some flavours from certain producers taste bad regardless of strength. I suggest you put a drop of your butterscotch in a bit of water (2-3ml), mix it & give it swirl in your mouth. This will give you rough idea on its taste & flavour profile. If it sucks with water ... I guarantee its going to suck when you vape.

Hey man. Just noticed your recipe. From what I can see, the flavouring might be too much. That is 10% of just one flavour. Start around 5% bro. That should be about 0.25ml. And may if you're serious about DIY, I suggest getting a small weighing scale.

What brand of flavouring you using btw?

hi plumerofred,
thanks for the share. Noted. Would not use 0.5ML of the butterscotch and will low to 0.25Ml instead.
I heard some say 15% of the flavoring. I thought I was stingy on it already.

I am not into the standard of using weighing till I can get the right taste for my mouth as of now.

I did a sample of 10ML
pg 4.2
vg 4.2
banana 1.0
Vanilla 0.6
I kinda like it. Have been steeping for 3 to 4 days now. The banana and vanilla flavor I have added is what I thought you have mention is too much. I would try again with lowering the banana and vanilla.

The brand I am using are:
red man and bake king.
And also 1 vanilla essence from brand Lorann.

Wonder, if you could throw me a couple of simple tasteful recipe so that I can start buying a weigh to do it correctly :)

1. Phoon Huat is your best friend. They have VG stocked for days and enough flavours to get you spoilt for choice (just remember to get the flavours that do NOT contain sucrose, dextrose, or any other kind of sugar...it caramelises).

2. If you need your nicotine you can try crystallising it yourself - there's a bunch of tutorials online but basically it's all the same thing. Put tobacco - aka Ang Hun - into warm water (warm water dissolves solvents faster) then evaporate that water. You'll be left with nothing but the nicotine. Add that into your juice and you're good to go.

3. If you're not satisfied with the taste head online and grab yourself some Sucralose. It's artificial sugar and it's sweet as a motherf*ker. A few drops will do. If you can't get it online head back to Phoon Huat and get some Sorbitol - which is sorta like PG but it's slightly sweeter than VG. Personally my mixes are 20% Sorbitol & 80%VG.

4. Still not satisfied, order some PG along with the Sucralose and save on delivery cost!

Happy Vaping :D
