FA lime tahity cp for me is both zesty and candyish. I don’t use it often due to fade but it is a nice flavor. As far as percentage 0.5-1% for an additive or kick, up to 2-2.7% for a real presence. If not used with another lime vape within about 10 days. Paired with OOO powdered sugar and 0.5 FA cream fresh it makes a nice cookie glaze. @PJReid has some great lime notes posted somewhere.
I like using lime with other citrus, darker berries, and watermelon. VT persian lime is the one I use the most, it has a bit of everything, zest, sweet, tart, and just limey.

So i guess adding a sour fruit like Lemon or Lime to my Orange will make it more sour, without muting?
For tartness I like using WF pixie stick at low percentage, FA citrus mix, or a couple drops of apple cider vinegar.
Some zest notes I like:
INW lemon mix, start low, a couple drops per 10ml.
SA frosted lemon, has an odd note freshly mixed but settles nicely after 2 weeks.
INW lime is nice but fairly new to me so unsure of fade.
FW tangerine natural, better kept at 2.5%or lower.
INW white grapefruit isn't zesty but has a great edge to it, so does FLV pink guava. Both are strong so start at 0.3% and go from there.
Sour is tough but I'm liking these so far:
VT sour lemon, 2% is my sweet spot, give it a couple weeks for the sour to blossom. Actually all flavors that are labeled sour need a decent steep from my experience.
WF sour gummy is showing promise, recent edition to my stash..
RF SC sour gummy is okay, think I'll end up liking the WF better.
FLV sour apple, very strong so start with 1 drop per 10ml, no real apple note to me.
VT green apple, my sft is showing a lot of promise so far. Mixed it about a week ago so not sure if it's leveled off yet.
WF sour watermelon candy, fairly new to me and I'm still on the fence.
I've just started dipping my toe into sours so that's all I've got.

Using flavors as additives is what I prefer over actual additives. The trick is finding what percentage to use without the flavor becoming intrusive. DIY involves some trial and error and flavor is highly subjective from person to person. Reading flavor notes and watching yt channels like diyordie:noted is very helpful. I'll try to post some links for you later today at work.
As far as using a flavor as a primary vs additive it's all about percentage and pairings. Say you want a boost for tfa dragon fruit as a primary , raspberry or hibiscus would be my choice for the additive flavor.

Well worth taking the time to watch and jotting down notes.
Noted - YouTube

I don't care for reddit but these notes are good and kept updated with new reviews. I keep a shortcut to this link on my desktop for easy access. you don't need to open an account to use.
reddit: the front page of the internet

One of my favorite flavor reviewers. Gives good tips for pairing to get a full fruit tastes.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong actually. You bought some stuff, experimented with it and are asking good questions and getting good feedback.
Seems to me you are doing fine.

As to the citruses I can't help I am afraid. I finally made a pink lemonade I could tolerate, but it steeped for something like nine months. I just plan don't love artificial citruses. Although there are those that do, sharing their awesome knowledge with you so great.

Make sure you really have it down before you start um, selling mixes to friends. You don't want to embarrass yourself. Heck, I was afraid of GIVING some of my mixes away to people after several, several months. They did wind up liking them, and like, they were the type of folks who would have told me if they hated them. But, I'd been mixing for while.

  • Lime Tahity (Cold-Pressed)
Lime Tahity is a Persian Lime, which is a cross between a lime and a lemon, similar to a Key Lime. FA’s Lime Tahity Cold Pressed is a sweet, Limeade kind of flavor. This is refreshing and has a similar flavor to TFA Key Lime (though Cold Pressed is much stronger). I would describe this as true juicy lime juice, but lightly sweetened. HIC calls it “flavor of fresh-squeezed conventional lime juice - refreshing, tart, and realistic” but I pick up sweetener. Still, this would be perfect for a limeade vape.
  • Lime Tahity (Distilled)
Lime Tahity is a Persian Lime, which is a cross between a lemon and a lime, similar to a key lime. Lime Tahity Distilled is more the whole Persian Lemon with the zest while the Cold Pressed is the juice. HIC says “Use it with Cold Pressed for a more complete lime flavor. If you just want realistic juice flavor, get Lime Cold-Pressed and/or Florida Key Lime instead. Distilled is a zestier flavor – add for a sharp, zest flavor. Alone, it is a great accent for many fruits. It gives a definite, slightly bitter flavor or peel. Gives a Popsicle like lime flavor.

@DIYNoob - If you are trying to add zest, go with the Lime Tahity (Distilled.) I don't do much mixing with orange flavors but it makes sense that adding a bit of something sour or tart would pucker your orange up a bit. You might even try adding 1% of a 10% citric acid solution to your recipe.

My VERY favorite additive to straight up fruit recipes for some actual magic if FA Aurora. It is a citrus booster that isn't sweet, is very zesty, and doesn't fade. I love that stuff!

Do you do this..like..full time or something? And thank you, for both posts. It's a bit much to absorb, but i'll try. I noticed i do have Peach and Mango in the stuff i bought, but no Lemon or anything like that. I'll try with those..thanks!

Fading..another problem! I'll try ordering it next time..

I added about 1% FA lime tahity (cold pressed) to a strawberry juice I made.
3% Capella sweet tangerine
3% FW strawberry
3% JF sweet strawberry
1% FA juicy strawberry
0.25% Purilum SS
Just to see how it would affect it and it’s good. I can’t explain the effect as I sit here take a pull and...it’s good. I’ve never been very good at describing taste. Every time I try it will be my honest opinion, which is this. Or I can go with cliches like, it has a juicy tartness that gives some zest to the strawberry. It’s like a wet citrusy summer cocktail garnished with slice of lime. Not that all that is a lie, that’s what comes to mind when I puff. It just feels more like I’m trying to sell the juice. Like I’ve been tasked with writing the description for a bottle label that will help customers decide to buy said bottle. If I’m not embellishing at all I’d say, “it makes my strawberry juice a little more interesting with some citrus depth”. Essential adding another layer of flavor to enjoy. Ok that wasn’t bad. I don’t feel like I’m trying to BS anyone and that feels like a fairly descriptive assessment of what FA tahity lime (cold pressed) added to my strawberry juice. Maybe this is the process I need to follow to better describe a recipe. Start with the BS version, then strip it down to the nitty gritty, leaving a simple, easy to relate to description of an ejuice. Also thanks to those who helped me decide what to do with this flavoring. I’m looking at you @Letitia and some great info @PJReid.
