I usually buy tobacco flavored 100% VG liquid with 24mg nicotine. The other day i purchased 500ml jug of 100% vg base unflavored with 24mg nic strength. I thinned out the liquid with some water, about 10 drops of water per 90 drops of base. Seems to be a decent consistancy. anyway i filled up a cartridge and took a few hits to try it out and got a huge nicotine buzz. Felt like the first time i smoked a cigarette. Am i understanding this right, is vaping a 24mg nic vg base the same as vaping a pre mixed 24mg nic eliquid?

OP:

I'm getting the same effect you described. Although the commercial bottles I buy are labeled 18 or 24mg, my DIY at those levels give a ginormously more potent nic hit. I started with a 100mg nic base and diluted to 18mg and 24mg in various PG/VG ratios for making recipes. I'm certain it was done correctly. Hubby is a math wizard and overall (way) smarter than me and handled the nic. He did his math and checked it twice using juice calculators.

All that to say I don't think it's you... or me... I think the mg advertised by commercial suppliers are a tad South of accurate from many vendors. I'm going down to 12mg for DIY and see how that feels. Please report back on how it's going for you. The DIY section has lots of great people and info.

Thank you guys so much for the quick feedback! I'll try diluting it more and see what happens, and possibly call the vendor "myfreedomsmokes.com" and see if they could have possibly mislabeled the bottle. Ive still been taking a hit once and a while with my mix, and it is definitely a lot stronger than anything I am used to.
