This is a question to you guys that buy poly-fil at the craft store and make your own cart filling. Do you notice a boost to performance?

It seems to me some of the filling that came in my pre-filled carts is a bit too small after being filled a time or two. Seems like after hitting on it a bit it gets sucked towards the tip of the cart. I can only assume the atty doesn't get as good of access to the juice when this happens. I am thinking of picking up a bag of poly....i figure for 3 bucks a bag why bother washing and reusing when you can just use new.

thanks

Based on my use of poly-fil, I'd say you've made a valid observation. I think it's also safe to say that there appears to be no real standard among carts. Some have more filler material and/or juice than others.

This was one of my primary frustrations with filling my own. Just like with pre-filled carts sometimes I would get good performance, other times not. I could never quite get a handle on exactly how much poly-fil to use, and when I did, I couldn't always duplicate my success.

I've found the teabag to be much more consistent, a great deal more satisfying and much less of a hassle than dealing with poly-fil.

I'd highly recommend you give it a try.

Well i tried teabag material....i didn't seem to work as well as the poly-fil i got with my carts. I only tried once so maybe i used too much or too little material. tips?

What i have found did work well was adding something under the polyfil; that comes with the carts to keep it raised to just barely under the top of the cart.

i know i have read some reports of people burning their poly-fil...i haven't found this to be a problem with my 801. Just curious if anyone else does this. Is the amount of polyfil supposed to slide down 1/6 inch after using it...or is this just because it condenses after being used for a while?

Seems like it works better if i can keep it as close as possible to the top of the cart.

thanks

I quite agree with SABOTEUR, that pre-filled carts from the factories have varying amounts of stuffing in them. That tells me we are not dealing with a perfect science. The amount of poly fill and re-filling technique is hard to quantify. Sometimes you do a good cartridge, sometimes not. This is a very hit or miss procedure. The teabag concept is a little easier to wrap your hands around, but some vapers have had mixed results. All you can do is keep trying to find the best way to fill a cart that is pleasing to you.

Currently vaping on a teabag. Well actually 1/2 of a teabag that was rolled dry around my 17 guage blunt needle. Then slid into my 801 cart and filled with juice. I've tried this for a couple of days. Seems to work great. I opened a Lipton tea bag. There is no glue, it is fold wrap sealed and stapled. I folded it into a long strip and cut the strip in half. Rolled one half. Easy, but tried using a whole bag and it was too much. The juice didn't want to wick on to the atty. By rolling the bag, there is an automatic hole down the center. Works nicely with my attys that have a higher bridge. I've also tried this with the 901 carts. I was having good success until dh blew out my attys.
