I am currently in heaven. I just got 120 ml of Halo Café Mocha in the mail today. It is the only thing I've found so far that I don't get tired of vaping and I've been out since Friday. I've tried lots of different flavors from lots of vendors and haven't found anything else I can tolerate all day. Yesterday I went to as close to a local vape shop as I have, smokecignals in New Orleans which is an hour away. I wanted to try some flavors before I buy, but they don't yet have a juice bar set up. The guys there were great though. I told them that Halo's Café Mocha was all that I've found that I like and they helped me decide on an espresso with a little bit of whipped cream added because I like the coffee flavor so much. The liquid I left with was actually very good with no steeping but a bit to sweet for me to vape all day, which is what I did until my order came in the mail today. Before Going to Smokecignal since Friday I was taking multiple different juices that I have purchased but just didn't like and mixing them together in my tank to make concoctions that were somewhat tolerable. It was a tough weekend vaping juice that I really didn't like trying to stay away from analogs but I did it. It's been 4.5 weeks since I've had an analog and I'm doing my best to stay away. Actually tonight is the first time I've added alcohol to the mix and with a great juice I haven't wanted anything other than another vape! I have a huge order in with multiple vendors for stuff for DIY, Would anyone out there have a recipe fore something close to Halo Café Mocha? Also how about Halo Belgian Chocolate, or a great Cotton Candy? The last 2 seem to be my wife's favorite and if I can come close to duplicating them it would save me a ton!!

First let me welcome you to the forum everyone here is eager and willing to help.

Halo juices are hard juices to duplicate. Most people (even veterans) that try to duplicate there favorite vender juice wind up failing and fustrated. I recommend If your going to start with DYI you need to start simple with let say 1 flavor concoctions and settle on what taste good and not try to match a venders juice. It's not as simple as add flavor and vape. There's a lot you need to know and you need to do some research before getting started. Let me give you a place to start.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

I've been reading for days. LOL! I have been LURKING for weeks and have just started posting recently. I got my list of stuff to order from this site, possibly on of the blogs but not sure, gonna check them out to make sure I've read them. I currently have on order: a qt of PG a qt of VG, 120 ml of 60 mg/ml nic in PG, Tons of flavors, Bottles, syringes 1 ml 3 ml 5 ml 10 ml, an Ultrasonic cleaner w/ heat and 30 min timer (that I believe maybe you recommended on a different post?) anything else I might need? I've actually been thinking about making a small bottle of each of the flavors I purchased and mixing them in my tank as I go to get an idea of what I like and what might go well together. Does that sound like a more feasible plan? I'm sure i'll be on here asking a ton more questions once my order comes in. Thanks Dannyv45

It sounds like your very well on your way. The UC with the 30 minute timer is a good choice. You'll be very happy not having to get up every 3 or 8 minutes to turn it back on. How ever you test your mixes the most important thing is to know your individual flavors.

I see your point about knowing the flavors. The other thing I'm going to have to figure out is flavor strengths. I went with TFA, FA, and Capellas to start with and from what I've read so far they all have different strengths. I'm sure there will be a learning curve and I'll wind up making a lot of stuff I don't like but if I can just figure out 3 or 4 that I do and can rotate through so I don't get sick of any 1 flavor I'll be happy for now. Actually I found out today that a flavor I never expected to like at all is actually quite refreshing. I don't like peppermint candy, nor was I a menthol smoker, but my wife has some Kringle's Curse and she talked me into trying it and I've been refilling my tank with it all day. Very refreshing.

I took your advice and have been mixing everything just single flavor. I also keep some unflavored base mix on hand just incase I mix a flavor to strong so I can quickly tone it down a bit without trying to figure nic ratios. Then when I'm feeling a little adventurous I take some of those single flavors I made and mix them together in my clearo to see how well they'll go together. Doing it that way really seems to work out well and I get more juice that I like than not using this technique. Thanks again.
