Maybe this would be better in the DIY section but I'm new and cant post there yet.

I have been giving it a go at DIy mixing and have had a good deal of success. A local shop actually asked to buy some of my flavors which has me stoked.

The question I have is regarding steep time on premixed flavors. there are some flavors I really like but have a lot of flavors in them. Since I am often looking to mix small batches, if I were to make a large amount of the flavoring ahead of time and then just add that to the PG/VG mix later does it still need to steep for the same amount of time?

For example, some flavors I have made only take a day or two to steep, while others take over a week. If I were to premix the flavoring for the ones that take a week and let the flavoring sit for a week, and then add that to the PG/VG, would that cut down the steep time of the completed liquid??

Any help would be appreciated.

flovors are complex and it also depends on which company you are getting flavors from. Best advise, premix flavors, let them age, and try a mix with VG etc. If it tastes as its supposed to then your good, if not you will know that additional time is required to age.

BTW steeping is the wrong word unless you are using actual tobacco/solid materials in your juice. you steep tea, you age wine/juice...
