I'm late.......as I worked all day yesterday. I think that Markfm & breaktru pretty much covered everything that I would have covered.

I mix anywhere I can, but mostly in my bathroom. I lay babywipes down on the counter just in case of spills. You could start off easy with your DIY & order a flavor shot from puresmoker. I posted my calculations for 3 of their flavorshots in their sub-forum. Same with Tasty Vapor, you could order their doublers, mix & match flavors, add your own nic.

As far as places to purchase DIY stuff.........i've found ecig express to be the least expensive with the most variety. I also order directly from flavorwest. A 4oz bottle of flavoring is like $6..........(shipping is a flat $15).........but that's not bad if you are ordering 4-5 bottles of flavor. This way you've got a LOT of flavoring plus some to share on PIF :) I also purchase my e-caffeine from there. I go with boxelder or void mist when they have 50% off for my 100mg/ml nicotine. I don't dilute it down when I get it, because I like to add it to tasty vapor doublers.

I started off buying like a dram of everything.........which was both good & bad. I tried alot of different stuff, but didn't have enough of the flavors I liked......& had left overs of the stuff I didn't like. (So, that is what PIF is for). Drop me a line if you need anything to get started. i've got more than plenty to send your way. (i think I only have 2 tobacco flavorings though, if that is what you are into, lol)

I buy glycerite from mountainrose herbs.........pretty much they have herbs that are in a vegetable glycerine base. I started a thread somewhere regarding the vaping of herbs/vitamins..........it's buried now, but we had a pretty good discussion going on. I like vaping herbs, sorry guys :)

Keep in mind that the flavoring you buy is essentially the SAME flavoring that vendors buy........but are making a killing off selling it in juice form to you. So, if you can get the hang of DIY, you are in like flint..........plus you could survive the apocolypse.

oh...........someday when the kids are grown i'm buying a big RV........& will go back to travel nursing :)

Very cool, Jen. I think the only thing I need to order is VG, (I don't really want an entire gallon of it to start off with...storage problems due to the RV lifestyle, etc) nic and menthol crystals. But I'll get some and get going rather than buying juice this month. I just hope I have enough of my menthol or wintergreen to get by 'till this stuff comes in.

I do have some butterscotch, cherry cola, spearmint and tobacco flavoring from my one and only PIF take (not on the DIY PIF by the way.) I'm thinking I could probably substitute the spearmint for the menthol in a pinch, but I really am thinking butterscotch menthol is likely going to be my first go. I'm going to pick up some PG at WM tonight, so that'll be done and MarkFM is sending me some graduated beakers. I have a couple of syringes that I haven't used yet, so I think that should get me going right?

BTW, a couple of our tenants are traveling nurses. Neat field to be in, for sure!

The caffeine works fantastic. Only draw back is forgetting to change mixes when you get home. . . . Instead of vaping a caffeine mix loaded all day at work, I keep a bottle off to the side for use when I'm worn out and would normally go buy a monster or red bull. Its a super cheap pic me up vs $3 for a red bull.

I mix it close to 30%, not sure what everyone else mixes at. People have different sensativities I'm sure.

My first attempts at diy were a disaster but I just decided to try diy again. I just placed an order for a few things at one stop yesterday evening. (Jump over to the one stop thread to check them out and get the discount code if you decide to order anything.)

If you like tobacco flavors, one of the good developments is the complex tobacco flavors being offered from a couple of the flavor shops. This pdf shows some of the flavors in the tobacco mixes from flavourart.
