It's usually highly recommended when someone is starting DIY, that he/she first finds 3-4 recipes they want to make, and then buys the flavorings needed to make those recipes. It usually saves them a bunch of money, and it gives the new DIYer a better chance of some success from the get-go.

But, we do regularly also have people post who've bought a bunch of flavorings first (based on what sounds good to them), and then ask for help with recipes to use them. So...you're not the first by any means. :thumbs:

I'd recommend that you browse through the "Recipes for Dummies" thread in this same forum, to see what pretty simple recipes have been posted by others...that can be made with the flavorings you already have. I'd be willing to bet you'll find several at least! Many who DIY (newbies to it and experienced people, too) regularly check that thread for new recipe ideas, hints & tips, comments about various flavorings, etc. There are, IMO, a bunch of really great recipes on there and lots of other valuable information, too!

Another place to browse...is the Eliquid Recipes sub-forum of this forum. Lots of good ones in there, too! :)

By the way...I peeked back at your list again, and you do have a good variety of primary (main) flavorings, and some of the more commonly used secondary (blender types) of flavorings. You also have a sweetener in your list. So all of those are "good things" about the ones you've bought. IMO, you shouldn't have much trouble at all finding quite a few recipes you can try!

What @JCinFLA said... And, you have a couple of funny flavors in there for a first order. FA Liquid Amber, for instance is a very specific additive that takes a bit of experience to use well... it has only niche applications, though it's essential in those.

That said, you have some good flavors there, and there's lots you can make with them. I suggested modifying "Snowy Fuji" in another thread, and you happen to have all the flavors needed, so try this:

4% TFA Bavarian Cream
1.5% FA Caramel
3.5% FA Fuji

Thanks guys, I did indeed order based on 3 recipes + couple more aromas like strawberry. One recipe is called apple buttah (contains liquid Amber) from 2016 diy or die mixology contest, it is heavy in the Fuji apple. One vanilla custard (grants clone) recipe that needs more steeping and one is called mango and peaches with cream.

Although these recipes are fenomenal imo I hoped to be able to make something with other dominant flavours such as strawberry or caramel to be able to rotate more and avoid vapours toungue.

Regarding the aforementioned E Liquid recipe site, If you become a member, the site allows you to enter all the flavors you have in your "stash (flavors you own)". You can then query your stash, and the site will go through thousands of recipes and list/using only those flavors in your stash. Each recipe is usually (some are too new and not yet rated) rated and reviewed, esp. the more popular ones.

Yep- I'd advise a _bit_ of caution with that site though. You're pretty safe with the highly rated recipes, but it's a big database that anyone can put recipes into, and there are some downright awful-looking recipes in it- in fact I think the awful-looking ones might outnumber the good ones. So make sure to at least sort by rating.

Alltheflavors.com is a much smaller database, but the recipes are generally much higher quality. I've seen what looked like a stinker or two there, but not very often. It has a "what can I make" feature too, but be forewarned- originality is highly prized over there, and that means that unless you have a pretty big stash of flavors most recipes there will have at least one flavor you don't have... you kind of have to buy for specific recipes. It does have a feature that lets you look for recipes you're missing either one or two flavors for though.

Also, while I'm not necessarily a big fan of the recipe database at the site that can't be named, there are some really experienced mixers in the forums there who post lots of interesting stuff. There's some Internet drama between that site and this that I only partially understand, so I won't go on about it, but it's worth reading the forums there for recipe ideas, IMHO.

Reddit's DIY ejuice sub-reddit is also a good resource. The monthly recipe thread there is where a lot of the best recipes first see the light of day, and the weekly new mixer's question thread is a good place to ask questions. There's also a "Suggest a recipe for my flavors" thread there that you might want to post in- see the sidebar.

As for recipes using your flavors with non-Fuji profiles (sacrilege, IMHO- everything's better with Fuji) ... well your stash is heavier on CAP than mine, and I don't use the DX/V2 flavors, so I'm limited in what I can suggest, but...

I'd guess that something like:

* CAP Harvest Berry 4%
* CAP VBIC 4%

would be a nice starting point. You could add a bit of caramel (like maybe 1% FA Caramel,) and a bit of the CAP Raspberry might be good there too, though I have no experience with it, so can't vouch for it. And, umm, you know some Fuji would be nice there too ;).

A recipe I have bookmarked but haven't tried yet is "sweet berries and butter cream" by Amy*** at ELR:

1% Bavarian Cream (TPA)
1.5% Butter Cream (CAP)
3% Harvest Berry (CAP)
3% Natural Strawberry (LAN)
3% Strawberry Shisha (INAWERA)

You could maybe try this using your FA Strawberry.

You also have a lot of the ingredients for the Cuttwood Unicorn Milk recipe, if you wanted to play with a couple of substitutions (Bavarian Cream or whipped cream for the sweet cream, and your strawberry for the sweet strawberry) and skip the graham cracker. Just make a small sample, in case it's not your cup of tea!

And be careful with percentages on substitutions. What I usually do is figure out the single flavor recommended percentage for the original flavor and my substitution flavor, and use that as a guide. So let's say the recommended single flavor percentage of the original X flavor is 10% and the recommended percentage of my substitute Y flavor is 5%, I'd cut down the recipe percentage by half. So if the recipe calls for 4% of X, I'd use 2% of Y, and add more later if needed.

And of course, sometimes substitutions just don't work as well (yet *sometimes* they work even better!), but since no one can have all the flavors, we do find ourselves occasionally subbing.

Thank you :) Made something similar just before your post:

Whipped cream 2%
Strawberry 7%
Vanilla bean ice cream 1%
Ethyl malthol 0,5 %

Turned out really great.
