Until a few minutes ago, I've been analog-free for 12 days. I've been lurking here - learning the ropes. My vaping device of choice has been a DSE-801 Pen Style for the last 12 days; and I've really been enjoying it. For the last 41 years, I've been a smoker. My habit increased to about a pack and a half a day with no signs of smoker's cough or any other nasty side effects. I began vaping to save money and possibly my life.

For the last two days I've been soooo dizzy that I feel like I'm close to passing out. This didn't come on gradually - It was sudden. No other symptoms. My question is: Have others experienced this overwhelming light-headedness after taking up vaping, or could this just be one more nasty trick that my multiple sclerosis is playing on me? I've decided to go back to analogs for 24 hours to see if I feel better - but I sure don't want to. I don't think I've been overdoing the vaping. Usually, I just take a few puffs and put it down for awhile. This is very confusing ... :(

I would say go to your doctor, you never know what is going on. I don't know much about MS but it could be that or some other health issue. If it were something caused by the vaping, you would think that would have happened right after you started, in the first few days- not after 12 days.

Please be well and get to a doctor ASAP. It's probably nothing to worry about but I have known people that have have head issues and it has ended up being something really bad, not to scare you or anything. Basically, stay calm and get to a doctor as soon as you can. If you have health insurance or something else and don't have to pay, go to the doctor as much as you possibly can to prevent anything from happening. Be safe and I hope that everything turns out alright!

I did when I first started vaping. You might be getting too much nicotine, do the symptoms dissipate after about an hour of no vaping or smoking? Nicotine strength seems to affect people differently, while I could easily smoke two or more packs of Newport full flavored a day, any eliquid above 18mg gives me a buzz.

I always suggest that people go to the doctor no matter what though if they have good health insurance or a medical card from their state. I don't have any medical insurance or medical card at all (but luckily we have a new cheap clinic for us poor people in this county), and it aggravates me to no end when my grandmother who has medical insurance and old peoples medical coverage will say "Oooh, I don't feel good, but I don't feel like going to the doctor. I should have went the other day, but I called them and told them that I couldn't come".

Take advantage of that medical coverage! Some of us out there would love to have something like that! I don't even get yearly feminine checkups or anything, I really hope that I am able to get a medical card, even though they make it super hard for people that don't have kids!

Since I started (6 days) Ive accidently tripled me nic intake, and I feel fine. A very very little feeling of nausia the first day or so...but thats also when I was showing it around, so it was prolly 5 or so times my reg nic intake for that day.

But yeah everyone's different. I recommend a DR, but if u don't have the cash, maybe stop vaping for a day or 2 and see if the dizziness dissipates?

Yeah - I have no health insurance (pre-existing condition with the MS means that I won't get any insurance unless things change big-time). Basically, I don't go to a doctor unless my leg's broken. This just really stinks because I feel so liberated from the analogs, and my boss even lets me vape at my desk. I'm not disabled, but hobbling outside for a smoke with a cane is a pain in the patootie. This dizziness is crazy-strong. I looked up the symptoms for nicotine poisoning, and I don't have any of 'em. That's why I wondered if anyone else here had experienced this.

hi there...it seems like to much of the nicotine might do that more then 16mg (1.6%) is considered high mg and if you drip the liquid direct on the atomizer you take a big hit,
you can consider filling the cartridge and get the nicotine slowly and more effectively.
I don't do any dripping - just top of the carts.

I don't want to be all pessimistic, but my friend's mom has ms, and he knows tons about it....

Dizziness is common with MS, and if it sticks around a while, you really need to go to a doctor. Apparently they give you dramamine or something similar, but they want to check you out anyway when it happens.

I'm MS clueless, so just passing the info along...

Yea - I agree that you should look to the MS first -

Also - for others here suggesting the nic -
You get significantly less nicotine from vaping than from analogs - About 10%
It has to do with absorption rates - There are many threads that discuss this -
It is highly unlikely that you will get too much nic from vaping -

Hmm, I would have thought that you would be eligible for Medicade since you have MS. Though they have changed it to where you need to be considered disabled unless you are under 21 or have children living with you. Do either of those apply to you?

You say that you can work, so it may be difficult for you to get medicade from your state if you are wanting to keep working. Couldn't hurt to try though, especially if you don't work a whole lot or if you work a good deal but don't get paid much. I would have thought that someone would MS would have been considered disabled. Once again, I don't know much about MS, but I have heard that it can be pretty bad. And I know that you probably don't want to be considered disabled, but anything that you can do to help get you the medical care you need can't be a bad thing!

Edit: I'm sorry, I've been spelling Medicaid as Medicade for some crazy reason today, I just realized! I'm not really ......ed, I am just not thinking today.

Well, I need another year and a half of credits before I can qualify for disability. But - I love my job (how many folks can claim that!) so I'm in no hurry to go on disability. Not that I've made a study of it, but I think as long as you're working, you don't qualify for medical benefits.

Anyhow, I've cut off my vapor for at least 24 hours to see if this awful feeling goes away. But I gotta tell ya - THESE ANALOGS TASTE NASTY NOW!! Yuck.

Oh no! Go to the doctor, we don't want you on analogs!

I know that in my town, there is a clinic that charges according to your income, but I happen to fall in the income range where I only have to pay $5 to go. But they have varying degrees of income ranges, so maybe you could qualify for something like that if you have a clinic like that around where you live. I'm not going to ask how much money you make, but I would say that unless you make a boatload of money, if you are under the national average (which seems terribly high to me coming from a very poor area), you should be able to qualify for maybe at least a 25% cut.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I haven't vaped for 12 hours and still feel pretty messed up. With MS it's common for weird symptoms to crop up just long enough to bug the hell out of ya and then usually they go away. Even my neurologist says not to bother to come in unless I've been tormented for 5 days or so. I'll put the vaping on hold for another day or so to see if there's any change. I've ordered e-liguid in a VG base just in case it's the PG that's messin' with me, and I'm drinking tons of fluids. Hopefully this will just pass so that I can get on with my vaping experience. Anyhow - THANKS EVERYONE for all of the links and helpful suggestions.

Thanks. I've got a call in to my neurologist and hubby is going to pick up some dramamine for me. Couldn't make it in to work today. *sigh* But ... I guess that means that I can hang out here and learn more ins and outs.
